Awesome Books in Our Mail

Today we received a package from Jeffe filled with awesome books!
She sent us a print copy of Going Under, Rogue's Possession and Ruby, three of her books we read as ebook, but now can hug and pet and put on our shelf of favorite reads, AND an ARC of The Tears of the Rose, the second book in Jeffe's The Twelve Kingdoms series.

I might have to fight my owner and Voodoo Bride for who gets to read The Tears of the Rose first. I'm guessing we will have to share and read it together.

Thanks, Jeffe!
We are very happy with all these awesome books.

Happy pig, reclining in the sun before starting on The Tears of the Rose.

How awesome!

Thanks Laura & Sparky!

Next up was the big box!

Oh, I know who this is from now!
Time to find Voodoo Bride, because she'll want to see it as well.

It turned out to be an awesome present from Jeffe Kennedy.
She and my owner are online friends and she send a box full of books and goodies for both me and Voodoo Bride.

Some fun buttons, including two of Rogue's Pawn, which is one of Jeffe's books and which is really cool! One of those will go on our noticeboard and the other will go on my owner's bag.

Voodoo Bride fell in love with this flower pen.
Jeffe also send a notebook and bookmarks with her books on them.

What an amazing present!

Thanks Jeffe!

If you don't hear from us in a while it's because we are reading ;-)

New Books for Voodoo Bride

This evening we hurried to the bookstore to pick up a book that Voodoo Bride had ordered. It turned out they had a special Christmas shopping surprise for all customers: Everyone got a coupon that was worth 5 euro. So suddenly Voodoo Bride could not just buy one book, but two! And we also got to participate in a lottery where I won a button!

What a cool shopping trip.

A Shocking Discovery and Mail for Voodoo Bride

Yesterday I counted the money in my piggybank and made a shocking discovery: One of the coins was a Danish coin! How did it get in my piggybank? I can't spend Danish money here! I think my owner has been fooled and got this coin as change instead of an Euro coin. If she doesn't pay more attention I'll never get enough money for a fun trip.

Today there was mail for Voodoo Bride!
I won these signed books by Kate Pearce over at the Qwillery.
They're Paranormal Romances set in the Tudor period. Voodoo Bride already read the first two books in the series, but is very happy to now have signed copies of the books and she looks forward to reading the third book.

And the books aren't even all!
Kate also included soap, a small bottle of perfume and bookmarks of which one was hand made.

Thank you Kate and Qwill!

Polder Rock and More

Yesterday we went on a trip as we were going to something called Polder Rock. But before we got to Polder Rock we paid some visits.

We visited my owner's mother who lives close to the river IJssel. Isn't it beautiful?

And look what we found in the garden while we were there!

I wonder if this small salamander is a relative of my friend Sparky.

More beautiful nature picture spam.

I also got to visit my good friend Witje, who lives in Kampen. We had a great time catching up on news and such.

In the evening we went to Polder Rock.
Looking at the t-shirts it had something to do with a cow and beer.
(I was told my owner's OtherHalf made the drawing that was on the t-shirts btw)

A stage and music!
It turned out Polder Rock was a small festival that my owner's brother had organised together with some friends to raise money for a good cause. There were three bands playing and you could also buy food and beer and other drinks. This is the first band that played at the festival: Rainbow in the Dark.

When the second band (B.Z.A.) played it was already getting a bit dark and it was also getting a bit more crowded, but I had a good spot luckily enough.

After the second band it started to rain, so I didn't take anymore pictures, but we had lots of fun and I was told there were over 400 people who came to the festival.

After the festival we got to sleep over at the house of the neighbour of my owner's brother. After such a long and fun filled day I was glad we didn't have to travel all the way back to Groningen.

After a good night sleep we spend some time with my owner's family. One of my owner's nephews had a bowl with fish!

Voodoo Bride discovered a distant relative who lived with my owner's family.

In the afternoon we caught a train back to Groningen.
I had a really fun time.

Dragons Galore

I'm not having the best of weeks at the moment and a trip I was to take this Friday even got cancelled, but today there was one fun thing:

I got mail!

It was a signed copy of Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison that I won in a giveaway Thea had last week.

But it gets even better:

No you're not seeing double!
Our good friend Katie knew we wanted to read this book and she send us Dragon Bound as well! Now I have a signed copy I can treasure while Voodoo Bride has her own copy to drool over.

Thanks Thea and Katie!

Chocolate and Books

There was a huge package today for me and Voodoo Bride from Jess Haines.

We got the package because Voodoo Bride won a contest on Jess'blog and because Jess is awesome!

There was tons of yummie chocolatey goodness in the package. We had to put it in containers to keep it all from taking over the available space on the dining-table.

Oh! Chocolate pretzels! And even more yummie chocolate

And Ranch dressing. According to Jess it's delicious if you dip your french fries in it. I will give that a try. Usually I use mayonaise.

And last, but certainly not least: Three signed books!

Taken by the Others is for a friend of ours as we already have a signed copy of that book, but the others are all ours!!!

What an awesome package!!!

Thanks Jess!!!
(and Binah too as I understand she helped with picking out what chocolates to include.)
