Christmas Dinosaurs

I've been enjoying Christmas.

I got to wear one of my hats to look extra festive.

My owner tried to bake a bundt cake with almond flour yesterday, but the cake turned out too fatty.

Next time it's back to normal flour!

But there was something else we wanted to try, so today we were back in the kitchen.

I got to try my 3D baking set!

And I made cookies with dinosaur footsteps on them as well.

After baking the cookies we got out the green fondant and cake decorating stuff. After a while we had a whole bunch of T-Rex body parts.

Don't they look cool and creepy?

We also baked some speculaas t-rex cookies, so we finally had lots of cookies.

But that was not all!
Those body parts could be fit together:

Christmas T-Rex!

I think he turned out really cool!

And soon he had a friend.

Roar!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
I'll show off the cool presents I got soon.

A Large Christmas Package

Yesterday a large Christmas package arrived, filled with presents.

It turned out to be from Miki, and she sent lots of yummy treats as well.

The presents are for Christmas and as an early birthday present for me and my owner as well. We can open them om Christmas Day, but we were allowed to open one present right away.

It had a beautiful cactus inside!
I love these kind of cacti.
Thanks Miki!

Here the cactus is with the other cacti in his new home. We'll take good care of him.

Thanks for the awesome package Miki!
I'll try to be a good piggy and stay away from the other presents until Christmas.

More Sinterklaas

We received a surprise present from Sinterklaas last Wednesday.
He sneakily managed to put it in our shoes when we weren't looking.

And on Thursday he delivered goodies for us at work.

And then on Friday Sinterklaas dropped by for a visit!
He talked to some of the people who he thought had been good this year.

And he talked to me!!
I almost fainted again.

My owner bought me a marzipan piggy to calm me down from all the excitement.

Yesterday it was Sinterklaas Eve, and there were even more presents!

I got two zombie books, 2 games, a cool candle, a little tree, and a chocolate letter.

I wasn't the only one to get a cool candle and a little tree, so I played around with all of the candles and tress of course.

It was an awesome week, but now Sinterklaas has gone back to Spain. I hope to see him again next year.

Thanks, Sinterklaas!!

Sinterklaas Dropped by Again

On Sunday we got to put out our shoe again and sing songs for Sinterklaas.

From the moment he arrives in the Netherlands you're allowed to do that a few times, as long as you're not too greedy and have been good.

We must have been good, because the next morning we found presents in our shoes!

I wonder what Sinterklaas brought us this time.

A Dinosaur cookie baking kit!

It can be used to make a 3D T-Rex cookie.

Doesn't that look cool!
I must find the ingredients and get baking.

Patat, A Sinterklaas Present and Clouds

Last Monday we went on a shopping trip.
We stopped for dinner before going home and I got to eat patat (French fries).

I received a Sinterklaas present by mail!
It seems Sinterklaas heard our singing all the way from Belgium and asked Miki to send this candy and cool piggy stamp our way!

And lastly some pictures of clouds: just because!

Hot Chocolate, Mail, Presents and a T-Rex

Last weekend we went into town and I got to drink hot chocolate. Yum!.

Yesterday I had Beanie mail!
The 8th book in the Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan. I'm looking forward to reading it.

And me and some of the other animals got presents from Sinterklaas!
Sinterklaas will bring even more presents on December 5th, but he sometimes brings some early presents if you sing songs for him and put out a treat for his horse.

I got a Dinosaur Excavation Kit and a book.
I got a Dinosaur Excavation Kit as a souvenir from Berlin, and loved it, so I'm really happy with this kit. It says the dinosaur glows in the dark!

So I had to start excavating the dinosaur today of course.

It was hard work, but slowly I managed to dig my way to the dinosaur bones.

Finally the first bone was excavated!
This kit was a lot harder than the one from Berlin, I must say, but still lots of fun. I managed to get all the bones out of the ground and put them together.

And don't you think this is a really awesome T-Rex!?
I can't wait until tonight, so I can see if he really glows in the dark!

Attack of the T-Rex Skeleton!

Just kidding: the T-Rex didn't harm me, I'm totally OK!

Catching Up

I've been lazy so here's a catch up on things I did these last few weeks.

we had a Halloween party where my owner dressed up as a wild boar!

We also baked a pumpkin pie.

And we had roasted chestnuts.

Here's picture of our Halloween table.

I got gingerbread cookies at work.
It was a gift to show us they appreciated all the hard work we do.

Jeffe sent us this really cool Day of Dead candy skull!

Yesterday we went to the movies with a colleague and saw The Last Witch Hunter.
It was a really cool movie!

Today at work there was a celebration and we got a bag full of oliebollen.

And when I got home there was mail waiting for us.
We won these cool bookmarks in a giveaway by Linda Poitevin. Her The Grigory Legacy series is a really awesome series, so we're very happy with these bookmarks.

That's it for now.
I will try to post more often again.
