Hippo Art

I decided to make the scatch art card that Hammie send me.

Look: when you scratch over the lines there's gold under it!

The end result!
Isn't it beautiful?!
I gave it to my owner and she loves it. She told me she'll find a good place to display it.

Once again thanks to Hammie for this cool present!

Fun Mail and a Sad Polar Bear

We had a Christmas Present from Hammie and G. It's a scratch art card that I can make myself!

And look: it's a hippo!
So I can make it for my owner! Thanks Hammie, it looks like fun and I think my owner will love it once it's finished.

This afternoon we went into town and I spotted this very sad looking polar bear. I think he's so sad because all the snow is melting again. I hope for him and me both there will be more snow before the winter is over.

A Cake and a Walk

My owner baked a Bundt Cake for Christmas yesterday!

We got to eat it with powdered sugar and cranberry jam that my owner's OtherHalf made himself. It was delicious!

In the afternoon we went for a walk and we took lots of pictures:

In the evening we ate lots of yummie food and we watched movies: Reindeer Games and Die Hard II, both very cool Christmas movies. We had a great day and I hope all of you had a great Christmas as well!

Presents!

After a day with some setbacks my owner and her OtherHalf decided we got to open our presents tonight.

The first present was White Stories! It's a game where you get to solve mysteries just like Black Stories, only this one is with spooky mysteries.

And the present from Jan turned out to be chocolate!
Yum!

Thanks Jan.

And to all of you:
Have a Wonderful Christmas!

Last Day of Work for 2010 and Mail

On the last day of work before our Christmas Holiday I noticed this small house with a sign that there was food and drink to be had!

Next to it there were huge pots filled with soup and there was special Christmas bread.

So we celebrated our upcoming Holiday with tomato soup and Christmas bread. Yum!

When we got home there was a lovely card for me from Helena, Bob T. Bear and Dilly! It has a picture of a Margaret Sherry hedgehog, so I think they know my owner loves the artwork of Margaret Sherry and if not it's a very lucky coincidence.

Someone who does know my owner's love for Margaret Sherry's artwork is her good friend Jan. And we got a package from Jan with a Margaret Sherry card (that Jan partly cross stitched herself) and a present! We put it under the tree so we can unwrap it at Christmas.

Helena, Bob, Dilly and Jan: Thanks so much!
I will say once again: I'm not forgetting you guys, but I'm very, very late in getting my own mail out.

Sneak Peek

Nothing much happening at the moment so I thought I'd give you a sneak peek of something that's coming soon on my review blog

I'll be making a list of the my favourite pearls from 2010 and guess what book is among the 5 greatest pearls?

Yup: Dark Oracle by Alayna Williams

Curious what other books are on my list?
Keep an eye on Pearls Cast Before A McPig

Christmassy Stuff, Hippo and a Book

Yesterday we went to a birthday and there was a whole Christmas village! I explored it a bit ofcourse.

There were lots of animals, like this sheep.

Small houses that were all lit up.

Even a church!
Very beautiful!

Playing around with a Christmas light decoration.

Today at work my owner bought us something to drink and it had a hippo on it. I'm thinking this is why my owner wanted that particular drink, but she denies it.

When we got home there was a package waiting for me. It contained this book that I won over at vvB32 Reads.
Thanks Velvet and Pauline! Me and Voodoo Bride look forward to reading it.

Shopping

We had some shopping to do today so went into town. There was a Christmassy mood everywhere and lots of fun things to see, like this scary Merry-Go-Round bear!

We passed a shop that had all kinds of glittery Christmas ornaments.

Ok.....
I'm in love!!

I think Coco would love this bird!

At another shop I spotted this wild boar.

Hmmmmm, snow!
I had a fun afternoon.

Christmas Package Fun!

Today at work we had a festive meeting where we got our Christmas Package.
(It's kind of a tradition here that employees get a package filled with yummie foodstuff and such for Christmas.)

My owner said we would open our package at home, but we also got a smaller present and I got to open that one at work.

It contained a small Christmas lantern!

Ours had a Christmas tree on it, but some of our co-workers got a lantern with a reindeer.

When we got home we lighted the lantern.

And opened the package!
It contained all kinds of yummie things, like popcorn, cookies, mini muffins and marshmallows.

The packaging material was paper and it looked nice and soft.

So when the box was empty I crawled inside to relax with a (double chocolate!) mini muffin.

*drool*

One more week till Christmas, but now we have yummie food to pass the time till then.

Another Present

There was a package for me from Beanie today!
Enc. Book? That means there's a book inside!

Doesn't it look awesome?
And going by the coverblurb, the story sounds just like my kind of story as well!

Thanks Beanie!!
Can't wait to read it.

On the subject of presents and cards and such:
I myself am very late this year due to moving, postal strikes and redecorating and stuff, so to those who're thinking I'm forgetting them:
Don't fear! I'm going to be sending New Year's cards and such.
