Books and Chocolate

Yesterday there was a package from Jeffe.
She got some books for us at a convention she visited, and she also sent some very yummy chocolate!

These looked really tasty, and one was broken, so I had to eat it right away of course. (It was indeed yummy!)

Thanks, Jeffe!
You are awesome.

Lots of Christmas Presents and Fun

I've not been online much the last few days, because I was celebrating Christmas.
Here are the highlights:

A few days before Christmas a huge package arrived!

It was from miki.
She sent us both lots of stuff for Christmas and for our birthday next month.

I used my piggy penlight to explore the depths of the huge box.

There was a box filled with presents for me and my owner and a box for my owner's OtherHalf.
This is the Christmas presents box for me and my owner.

There was also lots of candy and chocolate!
Yum.

We weren't allowed to open our presents until after midnight on Christmas Eve!

Luckily I got some fireworks from my owner's OtherHalf as well. I dreamed of how cool those will be to light on New Year's Eve, to take my mind of the presents.

Finally Christmas Eve arrived and we could open our presents.
There were a lot of them. Not only miki sent us presents. There was also a picnic basket full of yummy food from family, a small present from Beanie, and a couple of presents that Santa put under our tree.

It was fun opening them all.

And look at all those gorgeous presents!
Books, magazines, dinos, cross stitch stuff, cards, and lots more.

miki: Thank you for all those awesome presents!
Beanie: Those cards are really cool. Thank you!
G&J: Thanks for all the yummy food!

We spent Christmas day reading books and magazines, enjoying all our presents, and eating lots of yummy food.

The day after Christmas is also a holiday here.
We relaxed some more, and my owner baked a Bundt cake.

Which I of course had to taste.
It was delicious!

We also decided to make our own Christmas centerpiece.

I think it turned out beautiful.

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas.
I hope you all had a great Christmas as well!

A Book, a Card and Goodies

I received another book from Melliane!
She sent Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews.

Thanks Melliane!

I also got a beautiful card from Bob and Dilly.

Thanks Guys!

My owner got a box full of goodies at work.
I helped her with unpacking it.

Hmmm, what's this?
Some kind of skillet... Not what I was hoping for.

Oh, I think I hit the mother lode.

Beer! Yum.

My owner thought there were other cool things in the box as well, but I liked the beer the best.

Christmas Piggies

Laura and Sparky sent us another present!
Two Christmas piggies and a piggy card. The pig with the hat and scarf looks like he's a fun pig to hang out with. I will confess I have a bit of a crush on the other piggy.

Thanks, Laura and Sparky.
You are awesome!

Presents and a Christmas Tree

Yesterday there were two more early Christmas presents in my mail.
Laura and Sparky sent me The Fearless, and Melliane sent me House Immortal.

Thanks Laura, Sparky and Melliane!

We bought a Christmas tree yesterday.
It had netting around it. That doesn't look very Christmassy.

I decided the netting should be cut off the tree.

That looks more like it.

And lights and ornaments turned the tree into a real Christmas tree!

And I just have to show you our newest ornament.
Isn't it cool?!

Piggy Snout and Steam Punk Mail

Earlier this week I got a belated Sinterklaas gift: a marzipan piggy snout!

I also received a package from Nikki.
She sent me stickers, a yummy chocolate and marzipan bar, and a chose your own adventure book. It's a Steam Punk adventure with goblins and gnomes! How cool.

Thanks Nikki!

Beanie's Package and My Sinterklaas Presents

Beanie told me I could open one of the presents he sent me on Sinterklaas Day.
It contained Coraline by Neil Gaiman, and a really cool card!

Thanks Beanie!

Yesterday we celebrated Sinterklaas Day with some friends and Sinterklaas brought us all some really cool presents.

I got a book, a game about the Titanic, and a Garrus figurine.

We all also got an invitation from Sinterklaas to have dinner at a restaurant soon.

Here's a close-up of my Garrus figurine.
Garrus is one of my favorite characters from the Mass Effect series, a really cool SciFi computer game.

Thanks Sinterklaas!

More Sinterklaas Treats

Today Sinterklaas dropped by at my owner's work.
First we found kruidnoten and a chocolate lolly at our desk.

Later Sinterklaas dropped off a bar of chocolate as well.

Yum!

Scratch and... a Book?

Today my owner got a scratchcard at work.
It had a penguin on it and could possibly win us money!

I scratched and...

Won nothing!
We needed 3 times the same amount of money on the card, but I got no more than 2 times the same amount. If only there had been a third 100 on that ticket.

But luckily there was a surprise waiting for me at home!
Melliane sent Burn For Me as an early Christmas present.

Thanks Melliane!

Yesterday Sinterklaas left some other early presents at our house!

The Fallen!
Sinterklaas must know I finished reading his earlier present, and wanted to get the next book in this awesome series.

Thanks Sinterklaas!

Sinterklaas Stuff

My owner got me a Sinterklaas table display!
It is the ship on which Sinterklaas travels to the Netherlands, and Sinterklaas and his horse are on board!

I also received an early Sinterklaas present!
Miki sent me this beautiful pig card, and Sinterklaas sneaked an extra card and a new piggy friend into the package Miki sent.

Thanks Miki and Sinterklaas!
