Christmas Piggies

Laura and Sparky sent us another present!
Two Christmas piggies and a piggy card. The pig with the hat and scarf looks like he's a fun pig to hang out with. I will confess I have a bit of a crush on the other piggy.

Thanks, Laura and Sparky.
You are awesome!

Presents and a Christmas Tree

Yesterday there were two more early Christmas presents in my mail.
Laura and Sparky sent me The Fearless, and Melliane sent me House Immortal.

Thanks Laura, Sparky and Melliane!

We bought a Christmas tree yesterday.
It had netting around it. That doesn't look very Christmassy.

I decided the netting should be cut off the tree.

That looks more like it.

And lights and ornaments turned the tree into a real Christmas tree!

And I just have to show you our newest ornament.
Isn't it cool?!

Mail Interlude

Before continuing my tales about my trip to Normandy, here's some of the awesome mail I received lately.

Laura and Sparky sent me a new friend!

Beanie sent me a cool key ring with a trolley token.

I received a package full of books from Jeffe.
She managed to snag me some signed books, and even some ARCs at RT2014. She also sent some swag and a signed copy of her own book The Mark of The Tala.

I got three books from R. Jackson-Lawrence. I won these at the Armchair BEA event.

Jess Haines sent me an ARC of Enslaved by the Others.
She also included a cover-flat and a key ring.

The key ring had a small pair of cuffs on it. How cool!

Thanks everyone!

A Beautiful Tarot and a Book

I haven't been doing much this past week, so nothing much to post about.

I did get some wonderful mail though!

I received this beautiful tarot deck from Laura and Sparky.

The artwork of this tarot is just wonderful, and there are lots of animals on the cards.

I really love this card with ravens on it.

Thanks Laura and Sparky.
You are awesome!

And I got a book and a lovely card from Beanie!
Beanie read the book and thought I might like it. I will confess I'm very curious about it.

Thanks Beanie.
You rock!

Awesome Bookish Mail!!!

Today there was a package for us with a book inside.

It turned out to be The Outside by Laura Bickle!
We've been looking forward to this book since last year, when we read The Hallowed Ones, and have been stalking the mailmen ever since hearing the book was put in the mail for us by bookdepository.

We're very happy with it and will start reading it right away!

I also made a video of me doing my celebration dance, but YouTube wasn't cooperating, so we'll try to post that later.

A Present from Sparky

Today there was a beautiful card and a present from Sparky and his owner Laura for us.

It turned out to be three small bottles with precious stones in them!

Aren't they beautiful??!
Next to a pretty blue one, there was a purple one, which is my owner's favorite color, and a green one, which is my favorite color. How cool!

Thanks Sparky and Laura!

A Gift from Sparky

I received a gift from my friend Sparky the salamander today.
He played around with the beading collection of his human, Laura, and made me a necklace with my picture on it! He almost glued his paws together when making it, but don't you think the result is awesome?!

Thanks Sparky!

Zombies and a Book

I'm still at home with a cold, but hope to be more active again soon.

I did receive awesome mail today though!

A Zombie Tarot!

This amazingly cool tarot deck was send to me and my owner as a (late) birthday present by Laura and Sparky. They know just what I like!

Thanks Laura and Sparky. We're very happy with this tarot and will consult it regularly to see what those zombies have in store for us.

I also received a book today.
A Luring Murder by Stacy Verdick Case is a fun murder mystery which I reviewed at my other blog when it released as an ebook. Stacy was kind enough to send me the print version now that it's released. If you haven't read any of Stacy's books yet, I can advice that you give them a try. They're really fun in my opinion.

Oh, look!
They printed a bit of my review of Stacy's first book in the back of A Luring Murder. How cool!

Thanks Stacy!

Another Book Avalanche

Today there were a big box and a smaller package in my mail.

First I opened the package.

It was Laura Bickle's newest book which released today!

Laura and Sparky send us a signed copy.
How awesome!

Thanks Laura & Sparky!

Next up was the big box!

Oh, I know who this is from now!
Time to find Voodoo Bride, because she'll want to see it as well.

It turned out to be an awesome present from Jeffe Kennedy.
She and my owner are online friends and she send a box full of books and goodies for both me and Voodoo Bride.

Some fun buttons, including two of Rogue's Pawn, which is one of Jeffe's books and which is really cool! One of those will go on our noticeboard and the other will go on my owner's bag.

Voodoo Bride fell in love with this flower pen.
Jeffe also send a notebook and bookmarks with her books on them.

What an amazing present!

Thanks Jeffe!

If you don't hear from us in a while it's because we are reading ;-)

A Special City Walk

A while ago I told you I took pictures for a secret project.

Today I can tell you what that was all about!
I have a special guest over at my review blog today: Sparky Salamander.
Sparky is the sidekick of Anya in the books Embers & Sparks by Laura Bickle, but in his daily life he helps out Laura with her writing among other things.

Sparky is telling all about one of his adventures and there's also a giveaway. In honor of his visit I decided to do a special post on this blog today. I took my well read copy of Embers into town and took pictures of me and the book at some of the places I would love to show Sparky and Laura if they ever visit Groningen.

First of all I'd show them the Martini Tower of course!

And the Martini Church.

And I'd show Sparky the dragon next to the Martini Tower.

Next I'd take Sparky and Laura to the local book store where they have Dark Oracle, a book that Laura also wrote, but under her pen name Alayna Williams.
(I didn't take out my copy of Embers in the store, in case they would try to put it on the shelves to sell it.)

I know Laura loves to play card & board games. so I would also take them to see the local games store.

The A-Church is a must see building as well.

And finally on our way home for some hot chocolate and home made cake: the New Church.

Don't forget to go run over to the review blog to see Sparky's adventures and to enter the giveaway!
