Easter Walk

It was a beautiful day so we went for a walk. The Lady's Smock was already in bloom, which is really early as here it's called Pinksterbloem (Whit flower) as it usually blooms around Whit.

There were also nettles as you can see.

We stopped at a beautiful spot to have an Easter Picknick. My owner's OH had even boiled some eggs and we brought those with us on our walk.

The basket in which we brought the eggs was perfect for sitting in as I ate.

Some pictures of the spot where we had our picknick.

Chocolate!

Today we're taking it easy, but my owner did get us this box full of yummy Easter chocolates.

News from Canada full of Easter fun.

As I told you awhile ago, we had a visit from cousin Moira, who was on her way to Canada to go live there with Marie, a very good friend of my owner.
She promised to stay in touch and she stayed true to her word: today I received Moira's first email with pictures and stories of her life in Canada. I posted both pictures and Moira's stories below:

Hi Sullivan and everyone else. I arrived safely in Canada after a week of traveling.
I already made friends with everyone here and I want to start with introducing you to some of them.
In this picture you can see from left to right: Purple Kitty, then Pinky Pig, Chickie the chick, me and 2 cows - Molly and Sunshine, Diva the chihuahua, Elliot the Elephant, Brown Bear and Grover. As you can see we're following your blog overhere.

Me and Diva the chihuahua became friends immediately. We discovered we have a shared passion for fashion.

We're also getting into the spirit of Easter. Here I am getting ready to paint a large paper mache egg together with Princess, the daughter of Marie. Princess made the egg herself!

Look, I got my own brush to paint the egg.

Here I am on Princess' shoulder overlooking the progress of the painting.
She's doing a great job I think.

Marie also boiled some real eggs to paint.

I got my own egg to paint just for myself.

And here is the finished result, Marie helped me out a bit as it was my first time painting an egg.
I think it's the prettiest egg I've ever seen.

Easter Branch and A new Housemate

We decided to get really into the Easter spirit and got an Easter Branch that we decorated.
Here is an overview of the Easter Branch and the stuff around it.
(btw Eve, you are right thinking the boney stuff is from my owner's OH, but my owner really likes it too)

My army of chickens is taking part in the Easter fun to as you can see in these close-ups.

We also got a branch of those sweet smelling flowers.

And now for some other news:

Today there was an Easter package for my owner from a very good friend. Inside was a new housemate: a hippo named Blossom. We're all happy to welcome her to our home. There was also a really cool Easter card in the package as you can see and some stitchy stuff too.

Egg Hunt!

Today at work there was an egg hunt. They hid chocolate Easter eggs that could win you a prize if you found one. So ofcourse I tried to find some.

I searched at a lot of places, but didn't find any. My owner's collegues had beaten us to it, it seemed.

Luckily they also handed out chocolate eggs and I got a really nice one I think.

And the owner of the catering service gave us this delicious bread with cream filling.

When I got home there was a surprise: My owner's OH, Angus and Coco had hid chocolate eggs for me as they heard we didn't find any eggs in the egg hunt at work. I went hunting for them right away and these are the first I found!

And another one found!

Some where really well hidden.

Me, Angus and Coco with some of the eggs.

I had quite a search, but found them all in the end. It was really fun!

More Easter fun and a Mug

Another day surrounded by chickens.

And ofcourse they are playing proper Easter Music at work too:
the 'Matthäus-Passion' by Bach.

To get into the spirit of Easter my owner bought some Easter stuff: she got me my own small army of baby chickens!

She also bought these decorated eggs. I like my army better I must say.

And those of you who follow Coco's blog will have seen his crocodile mug. What he didn't tell you is that he and his owner got me a mug too: an Octopus mug!
Isn't it cool!?
