New Friends and Books

Earlier this week we received a surprise package from Marie, her family and my cousin Moira. They sent us lots of new friends, buttons, a cool hippo stapler, and yummy Maple sugar mints. We are very happy with this awesome surprise, and the new animals will all get a great new home here, I can assure you.

Thanks Marie!

Today there was a flea market in honor of King's Day (King's Day is to celebrate our King's birthday). We had a look at what was for sale and found 5 books. Three of them are for Voodoo Bride, but I found City of Bones and City of Ashes. I was lucky, because there was a girl who saw the books just before I saw them. Luckily she only wanted City of Bones, but the seller didn't want to sell the books separately. I don't know if I will like these books, but the two of them were cheap enough I decided to take the chance. Voodoo Bride is very happy with her books as well.

A Post full of Adventures by Moira

Today a post by Moira (Sullivan's cousin from Canada)

Hi, Sullivan and everyone else!
I have been very busy, so that's why I haven't posted for a while. But today I bring you pictures and stories of my adventures on our latest holiday.

This is a picture I spotted during our holiday and that I just had to share with you. It reminds me of family gatherings with all the McPigs. They even look a bit like us, so maybe these pigs are distant relatives, who knows.

On our holiday we saw lots of beautiful things.
Here I am in Epcot in front of a lovely Japanese building.

Princess and me also visited the Japanese garden.
It was beautiful and tranquil.

I also had quite an adventure during our holiday:

It all started out like fun.
We met the animals from Madagascar and asked them to pose with us. Alex the lion seemed quite interested in me and at first I was quite flattered, until....

He ate me!
Aaaah! Help!

It took a warden to convince him to spit me out again.
Egh, I was all covered in lion saliva and I had a terrible scare!

But then Skipper took charge and promised to hold me and keep me safe from Alex. *swoon* If only he wasn't so tall.

So in the end I survived and we finally got our picture taken together with the Madagascar crew. I'm never going near a lion again!

After this scary incident we visited Hogsmeade!

Hogsmeade luckily didn't have any lions.
It did have this snowman.

And owl post!

I thought about sending an owl to say Hi to my family in the Netherlands, but they looked like they might be interested in eating me as well, so I stayed far away from them to avoid becoming a meal once more.

Princess and me did go on a cool ride though.
Much better than being eaten.

We met a nice trainconductor and had a chat with him.

And he posed with us for a picture without trying to eat me!

That's it for now!
I had a great time, met scary and nice animals and people and saw lots of beautiul and cool things.

Mail from Canada

Today there was a package from my cousin Moira and my owner's friend Marie all the way from Canada!

I had quite a scare when after removing a chocolate bar from the package suddenly a whole bunch of animals popped out of the package.

But they turned out to be very friendly and very glad to be able to get out of the package after such a long journey. And they even had a piggy flashlight for me!

And there was even more cool stuff inside the package. A beautiful calendar with pictures of pigs in it and lip balm for my owner and chocolate.

And even Saskatoon Berry Tea and Chocolate!
I'm looking forward to tasting those.

There were also a couple of scary items in the package.

This Frankensteinesque little guy seems like the perfect guy to take Voodoo Bride on a Valentine date, don't you think?

And last but not least:
The Pig Book, a book full of awesome pictures of pigs!

I think this might be my favourite picture, but I will read this book often to see all of the beautiful pictures in it.

Thanks so much Marie, Moira and family!
This is an awesome Valentine's gift.

A Card and lots of Candy

There was another card for me in the mail today!
It was a blogoversary card from Eve and she also send me a really cool pig-button.
Thank you Eve! They're beautiful.

And what's this?!
A package that we began to fear got lost, wasn't lost afterall and arrived today!

It was the Christmas presents that Marie and my cousin Moira send to us. It took almost a month and a half to get here and was filled with yummy things and there was even a voodoo doll in there. She will feel right at home here with all the other voodoo dolls I'm sure.

When Schmorg smelled the chocolate he came running over and I had to fend him off.

But as soon as I turned my back he ran off with some of the chocolate.

And Angus also came to see what was in the package and ran off with the coffee!

So I decided to find a way to defend the rest of the goodies...

And I build a fort!

Hmmm.... Is that new voodoo doll trying to help me or trying to break down the fort?

But in the end the Friendship Survival Kit reminded us that being friends is about sharing and we stopped our fighting over the candy.

And we had a fun time playing with the candy together.

Marie and Moira: Thank you for the great package!
We love it and we're glad to have you as a friend and in the case of Moira as family.

Greetings from Canada - a post by Cousin Moira

Hi Sullivan and everybody else! It's been some time since I let you all know how I'm doing here in Canada, so here's a bit of an update.

Here I am helping to make cabbage rolls - got the rice and bacon mixture all ready to go

Stuffing the cabbage leaves with the mixture

Little bundles of yummy I say!!

I helped put the tree up and then got to chat with this pretty angel

Can you see the snow coming down?? It is so much colder here than I am used to, but I do have the benefit of lots of snow!

I had a picnic one day with some friends and Princess

A package arrived in the mail - it said it was for my owner but she let me open it.
It turned out to be from Sullivan's owner.

Look at all the goodies!

Some dutch inspired items - how neat!

Yummmmm - some sprinkles for my toast!!
I have missed these as here in Canada its not the tradition to use the sprinkles that way and so therefore I usually only use PB, Jam or Cheez Whiz on my toast - honey sometimes too.
