A Cemetery and a Swimming Pool

We visited a small cemetery after we left the Natural History museum.












I think this is Martin Luther.


Next we walked for a bit, and I spotted the TV tower.


And a pub that's not named after just any Oscar Wilde, but THE Oscar Wilde.


When we reached the Brandenburger Tor the sky was getting frighteningly dark, so we decided to go back to our hotel.


We got drinks at the bar, and I got a cocktail that was called Swimming Pool.


It was very tasty!

A Trip to Paris - At the Cemetery - day 4, part 2

I took a lot of pictures at the cemetery.




There was a grave with a dog statue on it.
I think it was meant to show that the dog missed his owner.




This grave had a pink Christmas tree and snow globes on it.

Although it was sunny, it was a bit cold, so finally we left the cemetery in search of something warm to drink and to visit another museum.

A Trip to Paris - The Eiffel Tower and a Cemetery - Day 4, part1

On Sunday I wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower.
We went to a square close to the tower, because from there you're supposed to have a great view on the Eiffel Tower.


Hey! Who put that wooden wall there?

Luckily we could walk around it.

There was a cemetery close to the square and we had a look there. You could see the Eiffel tower from there.


It was a really beautiful cemetery with lots of small crypts.


And statues, like this woman in a onesie who's putting on a sword.










Lots of the statues and crypts were decaying and crumbling, but that made them all the more beautiful I think.


This one was a bit creepy in my opinion.

A Cool Trip to ... - Day 1

Last Thursday we went on a trip.
My owner told me to pack for 5 days, and to take my passport. We took a train and went to Schiphol where we had to board another train. We traveled for almost 6 hours. I will confess I fell asleep at one point and when I woke up:


We had arrived at our hotel.
I wondered where we were. That's Mona Lisa in the painting. Rome?


The view out of the window wasn't telling me anything.


Then my owner showed me the map of the city.
We were in Paris!

After putting away our luggage we decided to do a little sightseeing before it got too dark. We took a metro into the city.


Knowing me it might not surprise you we visited an old cemetery.


There were some really beautiful statues there.




In the distance I spotted the roof of a church.
My owner told me we'd go there next.


The Sacré-Cœur!
The Sacré-Cœur (Sacred Heart) is a relatively new church, build between 1875 and 1914, but I think it's a beautiful church.


It's on a hill so you can look over the city.
It was grey and foggy though, so we couldn't see very far.




We had a look around both outside the church as inside, but we weren't allowed to take pictures inside.




After visiting the Sacré-Cœur we walked back to the metro station. So far I thought Paris was a beautiful city.

When we were close to our hotel we found a place to get something to eat. After dinner we went to our hotel to get some sleep.
