Fun at Noorderspel

Yesterday we went to the A-Church in the center of town.

There was a game convention: Noorderspel.
My owner and I always help at Noorderspel to sell games to the visitors of the convention.

There were lots of cool games.

And I got to meet a monster!

It was a really fun and busy day, we didn't have much time to tour the convention, there were too many people who wanted to buy games, so we didn't take anymore pictures of the convention.

We did receive a goodiebag with games at the end of the day.
How cool!

While we were resting from a day of selling games we did take some pictures of the beautiful A-Church.

It was a really fun day!

Noorderspel 2014

Today it was time for another Noorderspel!
Noorderspel is a local games convention. My owner and I always help out the local games store with selling games at Noorderspel.

Noorderspel was held in the A-Kerk (A-Church). A beautiful building.

in between selling games I found some time to have a look around:

I spotted a banner from the game Circus. My owner's OtherHalf made the illustrations for the game and did the lay out as well.

I also spotted this cool looking game.

And Space Marine armor.

It was a fun day and lots of people came to play and buy games.

A Mouse, a Church and a Book

Today we had more visitors coming over for my owner's birthday.
She got this really cool metal mouse, which can also be used as a piggy bank. (Or mouse bank in this case ;-)

She also got a gift certificate, so of course we went into town to see if we could spend it.

It was cold and rainy today, but when we were in town it was dry and there were some beautiful clouds.

In case you're wondering: these pictures were taken at the A-Church.

And we found a book at the bookstore across from the A-Church!
This book has been on my wishlist for some time, so I was glad my owner decided to buy this book with her gift certificate.

We've been really spoilt with gifts for our birthday I must say.
Thanks!

Might go Missing for a Bit

If I'm not posting the next couple of days it's because I'm without my internet connection, so don't worry. I'll be back soon!

On other news:

It was beautiful weather yesterday and my owner took me shopping. Here I am admiring the A-Church.

Today it's cold and grey so when my owner went grocery shopping I stayed safe and warm inside her bag.

Tower and Bird

In between all the rain yesterday we found some dry spells and went into town. Here's a picture of the tower of the A-Church.

And I spotted this really cool painting of a bird!

Otherwise nothing much happened these last two days.

A-Church and Cards

Especially for Beanie and others who haven't seen it yet I start this post with a link to my post of March 18th 2009. It has a link to the news item that features me! It was broadcast on local television. Lots of Dutch talking, but you can see me being hugged by a (famous) Dutch author of books about animals and such. Just go here and click on the link at the start of the post.

Now on to my day.

It's a great day with lots of sun so my owner and me went into town. Here you can see the tower of the A-Church, one of the churches in the center of Groningen.

We had to buy a birthday card for someone and my owner got me a card as well! It's from Geertje van der Zijpp and it has a hippo and a pig in it! And you can't see it very well in this picture, but there's also a mouse (on the back of the dog) and a hamster (on the back of the pig) and ofcourse other fun animals. Now isn't that a cool card!

We also got this card which is very weird, but also very beautiful I think.

Cross Stitching A-Kerk and Bike thingie

I haven't been doing anything interesting these last view days and this is why: my owner was stitching like crazy to finish this fairy she's been stitching on the last couple of months. It's not my taste, but Voodoo Bride loves it.

This afternoon my owner and I went into town to have a drink with someone and we did some shopping. Here you can see the tower of the A-Kerk (A-Church), a church in the center of the city.

When we got back to our bike someone had put this saddle thingie on it! It's some kind of Groningen promotion thing as this week a lot of new students have arrived in the city to start the new college and university year.
