A Mug, Cheese, and More

 

My owner and I got a cool mug at work! It has zombie cats on it. Sullivan is jealous.

And we got a present from Hammie! A hippo eraser.

You can be sure no erasing will be done with this hippo, he's much too cool!

Our owner's Other Half got cheese for us on Wednesday. Schmooples was very happy with the cheese. He says that a Nug's appetite needs to be sated with cheese. The older, the better.

Yesterday Sullivan received a mysterious package.

There was a cool raven on the wrapping paper.

Meeting Up with Hammie

The 22nd of September it was lovely weather, so we went on a picnic with Hammie! I introduced Hammie to Gilbert of course.


Our picnic spot was next to a church.


We had to explore the church of course.














We also had a look at the adjoining graveyard.

We had a wonderful afternoon and had lots of yummy things to eat. Finally we packed up our picnic stuff and went for a small outing to the coast.

At the end of this canal you can see the ocean.


Gilbert tried to use the binocular thing, but only saw a blue sky.




There was an iron map thing to show where water flows during high tide I think.










After a look around we went to the restaurant. It had the flag of Groningen.


We all had something to drink and a snack, and then we went home. We had a great day, and Gilbert loved meeting Hammie.

How Long Has it Been? Let's Celebrate with Paper!

I've not been blogging a lot last year, I know.

I will confess that my review blog, games, and other things are reasons, but also because the trips and things I've been up to have been repeats of things I posted about before. Because I've been blogging for a long time.

How long, you ask?

10 years!

Yes, you read that correctly. Today it was 10 years ago I blogged for the very first time!


So no better way to celebrate than doing something fun with one of the animals I met through my blog: Hammie!


While Hammie and I caught up on things, C & G were making paper clay to sculpt with. First they mixed paper with water and made it into a pulpy mess.


Next the pulpy mess was put in dishcloths to get most of the water out.


Here you can see it after the water was pressed out of it.

Next they got out sticky stuff to add to the paper so Hammie and I fled the scene before we got sticky!

After a fun day catching up and celebrating with Hammie, we got to see what C & G created:


They made owls and cats!


These two grumpy owls and the cat were made by C.
She says that maybe a next time she will try to make a sculpture of me, now that she had some practice.


All in all a perfect way to celebrate 10 years of blogging, travelling, and making friends. Thanks for sharing it with me, Hammie.


And also a big THANK YOU to all the other animals, people, and other creatures I met on my travels and online. You are all amazing and make blogging fun!

Lunch with Hammie

I met Hammie today for lunch!
I got to eat Fish and Chips from a newspaper! Yum!


We hung out in my owner's bag together with a piggy and hedgehog Hammie brought along as presents.
It was fun to catch up. We also did some shopping after lunch and I of course bought some books.


We should do this more often.

Meeting Hammie

Yesterday my owner and I met up with Hammie and G.


G. brought a present for my owner.


It was a beautiful scarf that G. and Hammie made themselves!

We had lunch together and then went into town to do some shopping. It was very rainiy, so we didn't take anymore pictures.


Except for this picture for Beanie!


When we got home we took an extra picture of the scarf so you can see it a bit better.

Cool Mail and a Medal

This week we received mail from Hammie.
He sent a beautiful pig card and a button of the Bremer Street Musicians. How cool!


And we received mail from Beanie as well!
Beanie send us the next book in the cool Cirque du Freak series, AND a signed copy of Zom-B Fugitive!


And it's signed to me!


Today my owner participated in 'De 4 Mijl van Groningen'.
The 4 Mile of Groningen is a really huge running event that's held every year in Groningen. She got this medal as a reward for making it to the finish. I think I'm allowed to be proud of this medal as well, because I'm the one who told her it's important to learn how to run away from zombies.

Mail!

There was awesome mail again today.
I received two books that my owner ordered for me with a gift card she got. And there was a card from Hammie!

Books, Chocolate, and More

Yesterday my owner and I received some early birthday presents from my owner's OtherHalf.
I got these two books!


And two small stamps.
A pig and an owl. I will be trying them out soon.


I also got this beautiful New Year's card from Hammie.


And a package full of chocolate from Eve!
