Cool Things in My Mail

There was an envelope in my mail today with a really beautiful bird stamp on it.

It turned out to be mail from Eve.
She send us a couple of cool postcards.

A Cool Present

I got a really cool present this week.
A very special piggy bank!

When you put a coin in the piggy his eyes light up and he oinks!
Isn't that awesome!?

Enjoying The Sun

It was lovely sunny weather today so we went for a walk and I lounged between the flowers.

I also saw a weird mushroom on a tree.

I lounged some more...

And picked some flowers.

All in all I had a great time.

A Trip to the May Fair

Today we finally did something fun!
We visited the May Fair.

We played some games where you could win tokens to buy plush animals. I wanted the Angry Birds pig, but we didn't win enough tokens to get him.

We also went on this rollercoaster.

The token we got for the rollercoaster had a mouse on it!

Next up was the Octopus!
I love this ride.

And isn't this a cool looking octopus!?

We saw a skeleton in a blood lake at the Spooky House.
(Somehow I look more like a ghost than the skeleton does.)

I love going to the fair.
It was a really fun outing.

The Highlights of This Week So Far

My owner still hasn't taken me anywhere special, so my highlights this week so far are the toy groceries I got at the grocery store.

And there was a book in the mail for Voodoo Bride.

I hope we'll do something fun soon.

An Elephant and a Music Box

My owner's OtherHalf has been on another trip and he brought me back two souvenirs!

A small elephant and a music box.

The music box plays 'La Valse d'Amélie' one of my favorite songs. If you don't know it, you can listen to it here. And if you never saw 'Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain', the movie this music is from, you should find it and see it as it's one of the most beautiful movies ever in my opinion.

Queensday 2012

Yesterday it was Queensday, the day our queen celebrates her birthday.

We went to the traditional 'Freemarket', a large open air flea market where there's lots of stuff for sale.
It's called a 'Freemarket' because you don't have to pay a fee to have a stall there.)

I found a new friend at the market!

And we had a really tasty snack: bread with goat cheese, walnuts and honey.

In the evening we went to the movies.
We saw The Hunger Games. I read the book and liked it, so was very curious about the movie. It turned out to be a fun and cool movie.
