Gilbert - Christmas is Coming

Sinterklaas was last weekend, but due to lots of stuff we kept it very small this year. Sinterklaas did bring some unexpected presents though, so that was really cool!

On Monday we went hunting for a Christmas tree. So off to Tuinland!

They always have cool displays, although this year it was less than normal. I still managed to meet some fun animals.

This reindeer was very mellow.

Someone was fishing with polar bears close by. That's bravely stupid imo.

But luckily the mother bear was just relaxing and enjoying the fake snow.

We had to use a shopping cart so we could keep a distance from other shoppers. It had a seat for me.

I'm not sure what this display has to do with Christmas... Maybe they are trying to dress up as the three kings?

A Hippo!

The hippo posed with me for a picture.

There were lots of cool Christmas ornaments.

Lots of penguins as well.

A colorful bird in a hoop.

There was a magical forest with a mysterious path.

And a fairy tree!

These bears were busy making gingerbread houses.

I wonder if that bear knows he will need a bath now. I myself don't like getting dirty, because I'm not fond of baths.

An army of nutcrackers!

Facehug anyone?

We found the perfect tree and decorated it once we got home!
It was a fun outing.

The next day I spotted this snow globe at the shopping center.

And Mister Blue got a Christmas hat!
We're ready for Christmas.

Happy Holiday Season everyone!

A Walk, A Present, and Muffins

We haven't been doing much lately, but last Sunday we went for a walk.

It was grey and cloudy, but dry.

This horse didn't seem to mind the grey weather. Not very chatty though, just interested in grazing.

Yesterday we received a present from G.

A beautiful blanket in our owner's favorite colors!

It's a really awesome blanket. Hand-crocheted by G. and big and warm! We are over the moon with this special gift.

We also got two buttons, and fun decorative hippos.

And a piggy tissue holder!
So cool.

Here's one of the decorative hippos.

We put the blanket on the sofa bed in our owner's workroom. The colors really fit the color scheme of the room. As if it's made for it!

Today Gilbert helped make Speculaas Muffins.

We went for a fall theme with pumpkins and fall leaves.

Especially the leaves came out looking very cool.

And they are super yummy!

Gilbert - Fun, Cider, and Food

A few weeks ago we met up with a friend and had cider and nachos. It was a fun afternoon.

Last week we made cider!

We had lots of apples and used a fruit crusher to shred them so they were easier to press for their juice. We will have to wait a while now for the cider to get ready.

Yesterday we went shopping. I saw this cool edition of Jurassic Park and The Lost World, but our owner thought it was too expensive.

After our shopping we went out for dinner at The Five Tastes. We got to sit in a really cozy corner.

There was this friendly beer loving cat.

And a Japanese lady, I think.

I had to order a Wasabi Martini of course!

It was soooo good!

I chilled out with these round head guys.

I think they look really cool!

We had lots of yummy food, and ended the meal with ice cream

I had chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

And after the ice cream I had a Mojito!

What a fun day!
