Hamsters!

My owner's OtherHalf brought home a pamphlet from one of the supermarkets and there were hamsters in it!

I bet some of these are relatives of Hammie. Aren't they cool!

Knaagje

This Knaagje (Gnawy). I wanted to show Knaagje as I think she's related to Hammie. My owner got her from a friend who rescued her from the same store Hammie was rescued from. She can act as a backpack and sometimes my owner takes her with us, but only if she doesn't have much to carry as Knaagje doesn't like it when my owner tries to stuff too much in her.

Hamsteren!

Today I met this jolly fellow and had a little talk with him.

Dutch followers of my blog will recognise this huge hamster and also the the title of this blog post. This huge hamster is the mascot of a large chain of supermarkets over here. Hamsters are also called hamsters in dutch. 'Hamsteren' is a word that means to hoard lots of food, like hamsters do too.
