Gilbert - The Orchid Farm (part 2)

We continued our walk through the green houses and saw many beautiful flowers.

Hmmm... Left or right?

I picked right and wasn't disappointed.
I found more turtles.

And I spotted these weird heads.

This turtle seemed to be napping.

Although...

The turtles seemed to love it here and didn't seem to be bothered by people admiring them.

A statue of a hunter.

For the next part of our visit I dove into my owner's bag and kept myself hidden, because:

My owner got to feed the Lorikeets!
They are very pushy and greedy, so I was too afraid they'd try to eat me if I didn't stay safe in my owner's bag.

My owner says it's lots of fun to feed the Lorikeets, and she even had one landing on her head. It sounded a bit scary to me.

She alos saw a Lorikeet taking a bath.

Once again outside of the Lorikeet enclosure I came out of hiding.

And spotted this mini pineapple thingy plant. Not sure if it's really a pineapple or something that looks like a pineapple.

Next we took a short rest and had rhubarb cake and something to drink.

After our break we went to the butterfly habitat.

There were lots of blue butterflies flying around, but those were impossible to get a picture of. Luckily these butterflies were more approachable.

Aren't they pretty?

next: more butterflies & flamingos
