Gilbert - An Icy Trip part 1

On February 18 we went on a trip with my owner's friend Diana. She picked us up and then we drove for 2 hours!

We did stop to stretch our legs and admire the view.

Finally we arrived in Biddinghuizen where there was an ice sculpture festival. What a bad time to forget my hat again!

There were many beautiful sculptures.

I loved this swamp monster.

The Death Tarot Card

A penguin with a book.

I had to take a picture of this bookcase for Sullivan.

A walrus relaxing with beer and popcorn.

And you could relax right next to him as well. (no popcorn and beer though...)

A really cool fish monster!

Charon

More pictures I just had to take to show Sullivan.

More ice sculptures soon!

Gilbert - Snow, IKEA, and More Fun Stuff

We had snow in Groningen!

It was really cold, and I forgot my hat, so no pictures of me in the snow, or I might have ended up looking like this.

Last Friday we went to IKEA.
We had something to eat, and I got French fries!

Yum!

This is what we bought at IKEA.
A rolling table/storage thing.

Now our owner can lounge or work on the sofa bed in her workroom, and keep books and other things close at hand.

We got Beanie Mail.
Both Sullivan and I won at Bus Bingo!

I got a commemorative coin!
It will be kept with our other special coins.

Sullivan got a cat button!
It's already displayed on our cork flag garland.

Thanks, Beanie!

We went into town yesterday, so here's your usual Martini Tower Spam.

And Nieuwe Kerk Spam of course.

Back home I relaxed in this cool T-Rex mug we got as a present from friends.
I got a cool energy drink, but I couldn't use the mug, because my owner wants to use the mug to store bookmarks.

The Capybara decided to join and arranged mood lighting.

More soon: We're going on an outing in the very near future!

A Walk, Games, and a Movie

Last Friday we went for a walk into town.
As we walked through the park I noticed the snowdrops were blooming!

I had to stop for a picture of the New Church.

And here's Martini Tower spam.

On the way back home the sun was setting.

On Saturday we went to play games with friends.
We got new Dinosaurs for Dinosaur Island!

We played Villagers, which turns out to be a really fun game!

And it has pigs in it!

On Monday we went to the movies.
We saw Nosferatu: it was amazing!

Books, Goodies, and a Candy Pig

We received a book-filled package from Jeffe!
There was a Taylor Swift CD for our owner.

For our owner & Voodoo Bride there were signed print copies of the Falling Under series.
(Voodoo Bride says they're completely Delicious and Hot!)

There was a beautiful copy of A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher.
(Sullivan almost bought a paperback copy during our birthday shopping trip, but it was really pricey in the bookstore we visited, so he decided to get something less pricey instead.)

It's signed!

The cover underneath the dust cover is really cool as well.

And just look at those end-pages!

Sullivan will read it soon.

There was also a copy of another book Sullivan was lusting after:
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst.
Sullivan loves her Queens of Renthia series, so he really wants to read this as well.

We couldn't get it to show in ur pictures, but it has light purple edges.

And there was a book by Carrie Vaughn.
Sullivan hadn't heard about this book, but he has read other books by her, so he's very interested in this as well.

And it's signed as well!
(And it has a cool stamp.)

Last, but not least:
Swag from Diana Rowland!
Her White Trash Zombie series is so good, says Sullivan. So he will totally treasure this cool swag.

Thanks, Jeffe!

In other news: Our owner got me a candy pig.

Isn't it  cool?!

Almost too pretty to eat.

High Tea

We were invited to a High Tea last Sunday.

There were lots of yummy things to eat.

We had a great time trying out all the food, drinking tea, and chatting with the other people who were there.

Thanks for inviting us, K.
