Hamming and Poffert

Today we went for a walk and we stopped at café-restaurant Hammingh for a meal.

Hmmm......
Beef, salmon, more beef....

Now this is more like it!
I didn't think to bring the Ranch dressing though, so mayonaise it is!

And a nice cool beer!



For dessert we had Poffert with ice cream.
Poffert is a kind of cake, but less sweet than cake. It's got vanilla in it and it's served warm. It's a tradional Groninger dish and this was the first time I got to try it.

It was really tasty!
We should have Poffert again soon I think.
