A Walk on a Sunny Day

The weather was lovely today, so we went for a walk.

We visited a large heather field in Drenthe and even saw an adder, but the adder was too fast to take a picture.

After our walk we had something to drink.

And I got French fries!

It was a great afternoon.

Another Trip to Balloërveld

Yesterday the weather was grey, but we decided to made a trip to Balloërveld anyway.

First we visited the large flock of sheep that lives there. The sheep had just gotten a new stable and seemed to be enjoying it.

Next we took a walk across the Balloërveld.

A short rest among the heather.

A red mushroom!
It's a poisonous mushroom so I didn't get too close.

After our walk we had patat (french fries) with Joppie sauce.
Yum!

All in all it was a lovely trip.
I hope we'll make more trips like this the coming months.

A Trip To Balloërveld - Part 2

During our walk across the heather we encountered a large flock of sheep.

They were enjoying the grass and the sun.

There were lambs among the flock as well.

This is an old burial mound.

The burial mound was surrounded by large trees.

And red and white poles for some reason...

A Trip To Balloërveld - Part 1

Today was a lovely sunny day, so we went on a trip to the Balloërveld, a large field with heather and trees. The perfect place for a nice long walk.

I saw this tree with lots of gnarly spots on it.

This one looked like a natural picture frame.

The sky was almost entirely blue with just a few small clouds here and there

A great day for a walk and some relaxation.
