Books, FairyLoot and a Photobombing Cat

I don't think there are followers who also subscribe to FairyLoot, but if there are, and if you haven't received your February box yet: spoilers ahead! You have been warned.

Last Wednesday I had an awesome mail day!
My February FairyLoot box arrived as well as two books Voodoo Bride and I had been waiting for. One was Witch Creek by the amazing Laura Bickle, the other A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole, a Contemporary Romance Voodoo Bride really wants to read.

I was of course eager to find out what was in the FairyLoot box.
The theme was Twisted Tales!

While I was distracted by arguing with Voodoo Bride what book we were going to read first, the cat decided to sneak a peek at the box as well.

And here is all the loot!
The book is a special hardcover edition that's signed by the author.

Here's a closer look at the other loot:
socks, bath salts, a bookmark, a candle, and a mug.
The candle smells really nice, and it's called Hinterland, which reminds me of Dragon Age Inquisition, where my favorite area of the game is called the Hinterlands. But it seems this candle has to do with the book.

While I was playing around with the mug Cat decided to photobomb once again.

A closer look at the mug.

And another one.
I love the little froggy!

I'm very happy with my FairyLoot.
Next month I'll get the anniversary box, which will be purple!

Bookcase Sneak Peek and a Cat

This morning I took a sneak peek at the building of the bookcase. It's looking good already! This is just a small part of the bookcase as the end result will be huge I'm told.

This afternoon I saw one of the neighbourhood cats taking a nap on the top of a car. Doesn't seem like a comfortable place to me, but the cat seemed to like it.

Package, Martini Tower Spam and More

There was a package for me and my owner today.

It was a book we won at Supernatural Underground: The Vampire and the Virgin by Kerrelyn Sparks. There were also two bookmarks and a postcard. Voodoo Bride was very happy with our win as it sounds like a very romantic vampire book.

And it's signed!
Thanks Kerrelyn!

This afternoon we went into town and I spotted this beautiful, old building.

And when we were grabbing a bite to eat at the restaurant in a large department store I saw the Martini Tower!

The restaurant was on the 4th floor and had a roof terrace so I went to the terrace to get an even better view on this beautiful tower.

Can you guess by now this is my favourite building in all of Groningen?

And when we got home I noticed one of the neighbourhood cats catching a bit of sun on our balcony. I think he was just as glad as me with this nice, sunny afternoon.

Cat and book!

When me and my owner went to get groceries there was a cat on the roof of the shed where my owner keeps her bike. He seemed to be enjoying the view and the weather.

And look what was in the mail today! I've been eagerly waiting for this book to arrive as I really want to read it. Expect a review soon on my other blog.

Groningen, Big Fish and Cat

After work my owner and I went into town for some shopping and took a small detour on our way back to see if the merry-go-round was open today. But again we were out of luck so we took some other pictures instead. This is a street close to where we live and I think this is a beautiful street.

A chestnut tree!
I love trees, especially when they're all leafy like this.

Later today we went shopping for food and we encountered this (cardboard) man with a very big fish!

When we got back home there was a cat trying to get attention (and maybe some of the food we had with us, but we kept a close eye on her, as awhile back this same cat almost stole our dinner out of our grocery bag).

Work, Clouds, Flowers and a Cat

Another day at the catering service today. I always get tempted by all the delicious food there.

After work we cycled home. There was a beautiful sky.

Another pic of the clouds a little bit further along the same street.

'There's lots of these yellow flowers all along the road to work at the moment.

When we got home there was a growling cat sitting at the sidewalk in front of our house.
It turned out that there was another cat hiding under the car and apparently this cat didn't like the other cat.
