A Trip to the Zoo - Part 2

After we saw the Komodo Dragon we visited a Longhouse


There were creepy masks.


And this cool wooden bird!


Next I managed to see my distant relative at a closer distance.


Oh! An Oceanium.




There were puffins and other sea birds at the Oceanium.


They were feeding the birds when I was watching them, so I got to see them swim under water.


There were also lots of fish at the Oceanium.




And jellyfish!


Aren't they awesome!?


These sharks were relaxing at the bottom of the tank.


These are jellyfish that have sea anemones growing/living on them.


I found Nemo!




I think all the fish and other sea creatures were really cool



We spent a lot of time at the Oceanium, but finally moved on to see even more animals.

A Trip to the Zoo - part 1

Last Tuesday we went on a trip to a zoo in Rotterdam.
We took a train and on our way we saw snow!


In Rotterdam we walked from the station to the Zoo.
The zoo is called Blijdorp, which means Happy Village.


I spotted hippo statues!


And flamingos.


There were fun signs pointing the way.


Komodo Dragons!
My owner loves Komodo Dragons, so we had to see those!


But first we passed some birds.


There was a warning that the birds can peck you.


Next we saw pelicans.


I think pelicans are weird, but cool birds.


There was a sign in Russian, so I think they were Russian pelicans.


In the distance you can see a distant relative of mine.


A cool lizard beastie.
Not sure what it was.


Komodo Dragon!


The Komodo Dragon posed for us.


Then he took off to hide behind a tree.

I infiltrate Ladies Night

Last Wednesday my owner and a colleague went to a Ladies Night at the cinema.

I managed to sneak in with them.


There were lots of yummy snacks and drinks.


And money!
I tried to take some with me, but they soon noticed money was missing!


My owner covered for me, because she was afraid my punishment would be bigger, because I shouldn't be at a Ladies Night. Even when jailed she tried to collect money for me that was on the floor in front of her cell. I trained her well!


Her punishment was to be shot out of an Angry bird catapult!
She survived!


Next we tried to get some money in an honest way:
legalized gambling. But we didn't win anything.


Then the movie started.
We saw The Boss, which is a very entertaining comedy.


We got really yummy popcorn to eat while watching the movie. Sweet Chili BBQ and Sweet Chili Cheese. Yum!


When we left we got a goodie bag filled with fun stuff. I especially like the me-sized mix thingie.

It was a fun evening.
I wouldn't mind accompanying my owner and her colleague to another Ladies Night sometime.

A trip to Utrecht - Food

After the DOM Under tour we had to admire the Dom tower of course.


Then we had hot chocolate.


We had a lovely view on the Dom square.


Next we went to see the statue of Willibrord.
He was the first one to build a church at the Dom square. Maybe I saw a stone he used for that church when I was exploring!


We also visited this statue of Anne Frank.




Next it was time for dinner!
According to this text they should have Nice Chinese Food.


They had my favorite Chinese soup!


And lots of yummy Dim Sum.


Also Dim Sum I didn't want to eat, but my owner did.


I did have a delicious dessert though!


Then it was time to travel back home again.


We arrived back home very late, so I didn't have time to taste the present I got: chestnut likorette. But you can bet I'll try it soon.
