Cacti and More Vegetables

Yesterday I got some more stuff!


I got these two cool cacti.


And more seeds and planting stuff for my glass garden.

If all goes well, I will be growing tomatoes!

Bulbs and Radishes

I planted my Clover and Forget-Me-Nots today.
The clover turned out to be bulbs instead of seeds.




When I finished planting them I put them in my glass garden.
Clover on the left, Forget-Me-Nots on the right. I hope they will grow.


The radishes are doing really well.


And the next plant to break the soil wasn't a carrot, but thyme.

I'm having so much fun with my garden!

It's a Jungle

Today we went to the garden store for some new plants.


We got some exotic and flesh eating plants.
Luckily they don't eat pigs, just insects, I'm told.


Sitting between these plants makes me feel like a jungle explorer.


We also got this plant with red berry things.
I'm pretty sure they're not for eating.


And I got some plants for my glass garden!
No vegetables this time, but Clover and Forget-Me-Nots.


They can be planted in these cool flower pots.
I will be putting them in my glass garden soon.

It's Alive!!!

I've been watering my little vegetable garden all week and have eagerly been looking to see if something was growing.

Yesterday evening it looked like the soil in one of the pots was rising, but in the dark it was hard to make out, so I waited until this morning to have a better look.


and my radishes have sprouted!


See!

it looks like the carrots will be the next plants to fight their way to sunlight. I will be keeping a close eye on them.

Popcorn!

This Wednesday we went to the cinema.
I didn't get to pick the movie though: we went to 50 Shades of Grey, but there was lots of popcorn so I had a good time.

My owner and Voodoo Bride enjoyed the movie (mostly).
Voodoo Bride might write a review/rant on our review blog this weekend.

A Late Sinterklaas Present

Sinterklaas invited us to go out for dinner with some friends when he brought us presents in December. This Monday we finally managed to go. We went to Sumo, a Japanese restaurant with lots of yummy food, and we had a great time!

My Own Glass Garden

Remember the glass house we got at IKEA a while ago?
Today we visited IKEA again and I got my own glass house!


I got it so I can use it for the seeds I got as a present at the grocery store. And I also got some extra seeds at IKEA.


So I started planting.
The soil tablet got soaked with water, and it turned into actual soil.


I filled the small pot with the soil, and planted the seeds in it.
I hope they will grow!


I placed the pots in my glass garden when I finished planting all the seeds.


In the glass house they will get lots of warmth and sun.
I hope I get more seeds, because this is fun!
