We spend lots of time at the aquariums looking at all the beautiful and weird fish.
And the occasional lobster.
This one looked very fierce!
There also were aquariums with beautiful corals and such.
After all the fish we saw some animals that like to eat fish (among others): African slender-snouted crocodiles.
At the Petting Zoo I saw these ferocious chicks!
Guinea Pigs
And more relatives!
As you can see these were not as distant as the other relative I saw and I had a little chat with one of them.
After talking with my relative we saw flamingos.
And a turtle (or tortoise, I keep mixing them up.)
We saw lots more animals, but I don't have pictures of them all. I did see an Art Elephant with pigs painted on him though!
And to end my three day long rambling about the Zoo I leave you with some pictures of one of my owner's favourite animals:

I love all the art elephants! =)
Was your relative sad that he was in a zoo?
Wow!!! nice pictures
@Enbrethiliel: No, she had lots of space and an enclosure she could retreat to when she was tired of all the petting, so she actually seemed happy.
Awww! How adorable!
My husband and I went to the zoo last week to see the otters. Love watching the critters!
nice outing! i like the flamingos.
I shared your posting of zoo pictures with mom's grandnephew, Ethan, he's two. He is beary much into Hipp-O's right now. His mom said he kissed the screen with the picture of the chomping Hipp-O. He loved it! Great photo's and a fun trip to the zoo.

Thanks, Sully. That's always good to know. When animals are making us happy, we should try to make them happy, too. Don't you agree? =)
Awesome photo's!! How many painted Elephants are there? LOVE today's elephant.
Got to love the pigs too :)
@Enbrethiliel: I totally agree!
@Audrey: In Emmen (where these pictures were taken) there are 75 elephants as the Zoo in Emmen clebrates it's 75 year excistence. But there's also an 'elephant parade' in London where there are 258 elephants.
