A Sheepish Visitor

Yesterday I got a visit from my good friend Witje.
He came all the way from Kampen by train.

We had a great day together.
We talked and ate Groninger Turf (a kind of cake).
In the evening Witje went back to Kampen again.

Really Awesome Present

Today I got a package which contained a really awesome present which was send to me by a good friend.
(You know who you are and how awesome I think you are!)

It's a really beautiful graphic novel about a cat who's a private investigator called Blacksad.

There's lots of animals in the story:
I even spotted a pig!

Aren't the drawings amazing?!

I'm really happy with such a wonderful gift.

Catching up in 3 pictures

Now that I finished telling you about Prague you might wonder what I've been up to the last couple of weeks.

I caught a nasty cold immediately upon my return from Prague.

I got a beautiful card from Beanie.

I received two awesome books from Stella.

The Long Journey Home

After 4 amazing days in Prague we had to go home again.
So back into the bus for a long journey.

I tried if the cup holder would also hold pigs, but it wasn't very comfortable.

Cloud picture spam.

Somewhere in Germany.

The bus that took us back to the Netherlands.

We travelled for about 10 hours by bus to get back to Hengelo. Then we took a 2 and a half hour trainride to get back to Groningen. I had an awesome time in Prague and would love to go there again some day.

Prague - Randomness

Yet again some assorted pictures of things I saw in Prague

A monument for someone who burned himself to death as a protest during the Prague Spring

These long, long stairs led to the Prague Castle.

Lots of houses were still in the process of being restored.

Prague - A Visit to a Museum

While we were in Prague we visited an museum of anthropology.

They had a really cool totempole at the entrance with animals on it.

There was a special mummy exhibit.
These are fish mummies.

These small statues were placed in a grave with a mummy as people thought they'd act as servants and do all the work for the mummy in the afterlife.

Part of a deathmask I think.

Ok, this has got nothing to do with mummies, but I really liked this sign.

A small statue.

And a real human mummy!

A statue of Anubis

Next to the special mummy exhibit there were lots of other exhibits of which me and my owner liked the Native North American exhibit the most. They had really cool maquettes there.

And this clothing display that's a bit spooky.

They even had a McPig sized cabin!
I thought my owner should get me one of these, but she didn't think so though.

Well, that's all the pictures we took in the museum as the guards kept asking us to show our photography permit, which we had, but they didn't seem to share the news, as each new guard kept interrupting us to ask again, so in the end we got tired of it and stopped taking pictures.

Somehow I don't think they're looking for a pig who has experience in playing fun card games with cockroaches in them.
