Presents and a Walk

Friday we had family coming over for dinner and they brought presents.
I got a chocolate bunny.

My owner got a shirt with iguanas on it.
It's a magical shirt I'm told: when the sun shines the iguanas turn green. We will have to test that this summer of course.

It was a fun evening.

On Sunday I got a visit from my friend Witje.

We went for a walk to Garnwerd.

It was sunny at first, but after a while it became clouded and windy.

So when we got to Garnwerd we ordered hot chocolate to get warm again.
Witje treated us to a really yummy dinner as well.

Here Witje is trying my fish eye lens.

We had a great time.

A Party and Zombie Mail

Yesterday evening my owner and me went to a party from work.
The theme was 'Dress To Impress' so we both looked our best.

I tried to get some pictures of the party, but most were too dark.
It was a fun party though with lots of yummy food.

Today there was a really big package for us.

It turned out to be the really cool zombie game we played with Witje a few weeks ago. Witje send it to us as a present. How cool!

Thanks Witje!

A Visit from Witje and Zombies

Yesterday Witje came to Groningen for a visit.
He brought along his student, who's still learning how to be a sheep, and he also brought his stuffed animal.

They also brought a boardgame called 'Last Night on Earth'.

It's a game with zombies!
Some of the players play heroes who have to escape the zombies, while other players can command the zombies who try to eat the heroes of course. I got to command the zombies!

Here the zombies are closing in on the heroes.
(the heroes are the grey miniatures.)
It was an overwhelming victory for the zombies!

In the evening Witje had to leave again and he took the zombie game with him. It was a fun day and I wouldn't mind playing that game more often I'll confess.

Looking At The Big Sky

Monday was all rain, all the time, but yesterday it was dry and there were some beautiful clouds.

And we have a winner!
Witje Schaap was able to tell that the Kate Bush video I was watching was Experiment IV
Witje will be getting a postcard in his mail soon!

Another Halloween Party

Today we went on a trip.
My owner told me to wear my mummy costume.
On the trainride I got coffee and a pastry thingie with cherry-filling. Yum!

I know this tower!
This is the St. Nicholas Church in Kampen!

It turned out we were going to visit my good friend Witje. He was celebrating Halloween as well. And look what a cool mask he had!

There were lots of other animals at the party as well.

And special Halloweenish chocolate!

And I got to play a fun game!
This is the character I played in the game: an elvish wizard who could cast fireballs and such.

The characters had to find treasure and fight monsters in a creepy dungeon. My elf got to fight giant spiders and ghouls. It was lots of fun.

In the evening we had to go home again.
It was a really great day!

A Sheepish Visitor

Yesterday I got a visit from my good friend Witje.
He came all the way from Kampen by train.

We had a great day together.
We talked and ate Groninger Turf (a kind of cake).
In the evening Witje went back to Kampen again.

The Presents Just Keep on Coming

My owner isn't doing anything fun at the moment as she got a cold, but luckily for me something fun happened today: There was another package!

There was a really cool pig card on top! It says: Hey, party pig, congratulations from Kampen.

It turned out to be from Witje the sheep.
I met him last year when we were in Kampen. He tells me he was sorry he couldn't come to my birthday.

The package contained stuff for baking muffins and such. I think it's close to baking soda if I understand correctly and my owner and me can use it to make the perfect fluffy muffins next time we bake.

And there were two presents!

It was a piggy pen and a piggy keychain. Their noses light up and they oink when you push on their heads! Aren't they awesome?!

Witje: many thanks for the cool presents.
We'll try to remember to take pictures next time we bake muffins.

A Trip to Kampen - part 2

After our visit to the comicbook store we walked through the city to the park.

We entered the park through the gate you see in this picture. It's one of the three gates that Kampen has and it's still in use for meeting like weddings and such.

I think it's a really beautiful building.

A view on the gate from inside the park.

One of the towers of the gate.

It was really beautiful in the park. I saw lots of flowers including these white ones which were named Vogelmelk (Bird's Milk) which I think is a weird name for a flower. (In english they're called Star-of-Bethlehem I think.)

All the trees had name tags so you could see what kind of tree it was. This one is a Canadian poplar tree.

And look what kind of animals were swimming close to that tree: Canadian geese.

After a while I spotted the towers of one of the other gates!

This gate had statue in front of it of some guy with a flute. I wonder if he's related to that guy in Hameln who played the flute to lure rats and children out of town.

A better view of the gate.

More pretty greenery and buildings spam.

A view on what I think is the most beautiful church of Kampen, the Bovenkerk (Upper Church).

After the really fun walk in the park we went to the house of my owner's family and there I met Witje the sheep. We talked for a long time and that was lots of fun.

Witje confessed he's a follower of my blog and asked me for an autograph. As Witje is such a nice and friendly sheep I couldn't refuse ofcourse.

All in all I had a great day in Kampen and I made a new friend!
