Pigeons

Pigeons have discovered the birdfeeder on our balcony.

They wait patiently (well, some not so patiently, I must confess) till we put peanuts in the dish inside the birdfeeder and then swoop in to eat all the peanuts.

Well... it is a birdfeeder afterall and pigeons are birds.

Longest Birthday Fun Ever!

I'm still stuck at home, even missing out on fun stuff we were supposed to do, because of my owner's cold. I could pick between showing you the pile of tissues my owner is working her way through because of said cold, or.....

Yesterday there was a package from Hammie with lots of cool candy for me and my owner still for our birthday!

And Hammie also send us two small statues: one McPig statue for me and a Hippo statue for my owner. We are both very happy with those.

Paper? Scissors?

Yup!
Today there was yet another package!
This one was quite a mysterious package as we couldn't discover from the return address who send it.

Oh, chocolate, caramel and pecans! *drool*

Lots of yummie candy!

At the bottom of the package we found this picture!
So all the yummie goodness was send by Jerry and Ben!

They also send me this awesome drawing of me that Jerry had made. I knew he was going to send it to me, but I hadn't expected he and Ben would send a whole package of goodies! That was a very cool surprise.

Guess What: More Mail!

Yup, still nothing much happening here besides me getting mail.
My owner is even complaining I get more mail than she does. She told me that maybe I should change the title of my blog to 'The Mail and Packages of Sullivan McPig'. (Har har, now that is so funny..... NOT!)
If she would get me out of the house to do something fun, I'd have something else to talk about than my mail!

But on to the goodies I recieved today:

I won a Firelight swag pack in a twitter giveaway from Book Lovers Inc. It has stickers, a postcard and a bookmark from the book Firelight and they even included a postcard from the book Fatal Circle as well!

The Presents Just Keep on Coming

My owner isn't doing anything fun at the moment as she got a cold, but luckily for me something fun happened today: There was another package!

There was a really cool pig card on top! It says: Hey, party pig, congratulations from Kampen.

It turned out to be from Witje the sheep.
I met him last year when we were in Kampen. He tells me he was sorry he couldn't come to my birthday.

The package contained stuff for baking muffins and such. I think it's close to baking soda if I understand correctly and my owner and me can use it to make the perfect fluffy muffins next time we bake.

And there were two presents!

It was a piggy pen and a piggy keychain. Their noses light up and they oink when you push on their heads! Aren't they awesome?!

Mail Spam Yet Again.

Today there was a package for me and one of Beanie's wonderful crafty envelopes!

Inside the envelope there was a found-art card for my birthday!

The package contained a book by Allison Pang that I won over at Word-Whores. It's a blog where 7 authors (including Allison Pang ofcourse) write about all kinds of interesting subjects. Be sure to check it out. I already started reading the book and so far it's really cool, although there seems to be a lot of bacon in it....

Birthday Fun Continued!

Today was the first day after our birthday that me and my owner had to work again and when we got there they had decorated our desk!





Weeeh!
This is so much fun!

And we even got presents!

Mail!!

There was lots of mail for me today.
First there was a package which contained the book 'Wanderlust' by Ann Aguirre. I won it over at the blog of Vivian Arend and her wolfcompanion Wolfie. Vivian herself is the author of awesome wolf-stories.

Next there were two cards for me as well!
Both are from Hammie and G. One is for my birthday and the other for my blogoversary. They even send a card to my owner as well so we had three beautiful cards today! Isn't that cool?!

Birthday Stuff and Winners

As you might have seen in yesterday's post: My owner got a bird as a present from her otherHalf. Meet Bonga, he's very friendly, but super bouncy.

We also got a really beautiful graphic novel among other things.

And fish-shaped baking tins!

We got a beautiful handmade card and envelope. The envelope contained gift cards.

We also got some more gift cards, so today we spend the gift cards on books!

So: yes, we got spoilt and loved it!

Birthday!

It was my birthday today! (Well, officially yesterday as it's already past midnight here.)

I had to celebrate with chocolate and some Wild Pig of course! (The chocolate was a birthday present for me and my owner. They do know us well ;-) )

A bird suddenly appeared!

It turned out that this bird was a birthday present for my owner and he's coming to live with us. So far he's been too bouncy to have a long enough talk to ask him his name, but I will find out soon.

Presents!!

Tomorrow it's the birthday of me and my owner, but presents are already pouring in. This present we got from a friend who thought our birthday was yesterday. From the wrapping I could see that it came from a store that sells games!

Oh! An expansion set for the cardgame Gloom!
I love Gloom, so I'm very happy with this present.

There was also a package from my owner's friend Jan today.

We were to curious to wait till tomorrow so we opened it right away. It contained green cross stitch fabric, two key fobs and a beautiful keyring. My owner is very happy with these presents and I am too as green is my favourite colour, so now I can bug my owner to cross stitch something for me on the green fabric.

Work Fun and Mail

It was the birthday of one of our co-workers today and her desk was all decorated!

She brought yummie food to celebrate her birthday, like these 'slagroomsoesjes' (small pastry filled with whipped cream).

I got a 'koffieschuimpje' (Not sure how to explain what it is, it's some kind of sugary foam).

When I got home there was mail from Marlowe!
The stamp said it was send on december 14th! Wow, it took a month to get to me.

It was a beautiful Christmas card and two great pictures that Marlowe's Mom took. One is of Neil Gaiman (Marlowe's Mom got to meet him, I'm very jealous ;-) ) and the other is of Marlowe and Caleb. Isn't it an awesome picture!

Bored

Nothing much happening here and both my owner and the very wet weather aren't helping much in making something fun happen. One more day of work and we'll have 5 days off, so really hoping my owner will do something fun with me then.

Food and Books

Yesterday we went out for dinner with three good friends to thank them for all the help during our renovation. A great way to celebrate my blogoversary I think.
