A Trip to Winsum

Yesterday we were invited to Winsum to have dinner at the Gouden Karper (Golden Carp). Winsum is a lovely place so we did some sightseeing too.

I spotted a windmill hiding behind some buildings.

And don't you just love this beautiful building?

Inside the Gouden Karper.

There were lots of cool things to see in the restaurant, like this lamp.

And these pigs!
I must confess I was less pleased that they were on a sign that lists the menu.

My owner ordered a huge bowl of ice cream for dessert.

With strawberries. Yum!

A view on/out the window of the Gouden Karper.

We got nougat when we left the restaurant!

We did some more sightseeing on the way to the car and I saw this weird statue.

Another beautiful building

And even another windmill!

What a lovely and unexpected trip!

Mmmm, ice cream. And that really is a pretty strange statue. Your pictures of Winsum make me want to visit! Maybe someday. Thank you for the tour!

We had a drink at the terrace of the Gouden Karper last summer holiday, because it's the end of our first part of the Pieterpad! We never did the second part during the year that has passed, I hope we'll start again soon...
