Cool Mail Just Keeps On Coming

Today there was a package for Voodoo Bride.
It contained a signed book by Lila DiPasqua that I won for Voodoo Bride at Ex Libris. It's a book with three romantic stories that are inspired by fairytales.

And we got a card from Beanie!
It shows the Round Table of King Arthur and his knights. Beanie saw it for real, isn't that cool?!

A New Friend with a Special Skill

When I got home from work today there was a female pig waiting for me, with a small pack of tarot cards, a mysterious box and a beautiful card.

The female pig told me she was called Diamond and she showed me what was inside the mysterious box: Cadbury Creme Eggs. Yum! Diamond (and the other cool stuff) was send to us as a surprise by our friends Laura and Sparky.

Diamond also showed me the tiny tarot deck. She told me she can read tarot for people and when she does you should call her Madame Diamond as pigs who can read tarot are very rare so should be be called by an official title when they do so.

Madame Diamond then read my cards for me.
There were a lot of Sword cards and I wasn't sure if that was a good sign, but Madame Diamond told me I had nothing to worry about.

Thanks Laura and Sparky!
Diamond will fit right in here.

I helped out at Noorderspel

My owner and me helped out at Noorderspel this weekend.
Noorderspel is a games convention that is held in Groningen. We usually help out at the stand of our local games store, but there's always time to take a look around as well.

I tested out a couple of games, like this quick counting game that's called Granny Apples.

I helped with keeping an eye on the money we made selling games.

Look: They had a game about mice!

I had a talk with a ghost and a mouse.

I also met an Easter Bunny.

Saturday evening we had dinner with other people who helped out at the convention. There was lots of yummie food, but I won't torture Demented Wench with pictures of the food.

On Sunday I spotted a large banner with a goblin on it!

It turned out that the goblin is the logo for a games company that has lots of cool games. One of them is about squirrels.

It looked like a fun game, but I rather would have played a game with pigs, but I didn't see any at the convention.

All in all I had lots of fun!

Say: Are Those Tentacles?

There were two packages waiting for us when we got home from work today. One of them had tentacles on it!

There was even a Sullivan wannabe tentacle!
Isn't that cool: I have tentacle fans!

And look what was inside the tentacle package:
A review copy of Deceived by the Others by Jess Haines!

There was another tentacle inside the book and a message for us and Cthulhu.

And look what was in the other package!
A review copy of Alien in the Family by Gini Koch and cards and magnets as well!

What a fabulous mail day!
Now I'll have to decide which book to read first.

A big thanks to Jess, Binah and Gini for these awesome books and tentacles and all!!

Cthulhu approves!

Teaser Tuesdays - Signal to Noise

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

There would be thousands and thousands of us there, all laughing and shouting, all of us caught up in the joy of being human, the experience of living at that moment, knowing we'd made it this far, that maybe there was hope after all.

And I'll never see it.

(fragment from chapter 4. (Confusion), Signal to Noise (graphic novel) by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean)

A Package!

When we got home today there was a package for my owner from our friend Eve.

There were lots of presents in the package, but two had my name on them! I wonder what's in them.

A piggy soap and a piggy container!
Aren't they cool?!

And just look at all the cool other thingies Eve send!
Me and my owner are very happy with this awesome package, I can tell you.

Thanks Eve!
You're absolutely amazing!

I'm rereading this one as it's awesome!
Haven't read Rogue Oracle yet?
Check my review blog on Thursday for a guestpost by Alayna Williams.
It's going to be really cool I can promise you!

"The more I learn about how you think, the more I wonder..." He shook his head. "It's like the rest of us see light in the visible spectrum, and you see infrared and ultraviolet."

Attack of the Chocolate Bunny

Lately chocolate bunnies are popping up everywhere: in supermarkets, at work. I was beginning to suspect they're planning some kind of hostile take-over when yesterday evening.....

There was a chocolate bunny waiting for me at home!

Luckily my small army of Easter chicks was standing by to help me defend our home against the attack of the chocolate bunny.

But it turned out the chocolate bunny was quite innocent and friendly so we all had a nice chat.

(Me and the chicks were careful not to tell the chocolate bunny about my owner's plans for the bunny though.)

Still Around

Last few days have been pretty boring, so here's another picture of our Games Night. We played Cockroach Poker, a cardgame where you have to bluff and try to get rid of cards. It's lots of fun.

A Post full of Adventures by Moira

Today a post by Moira (Sullivan's cousin from Canada)

Hi, Sullivan and everyone else!
I have been very busy, so that's why I haven't posted for a while. But today I bring you pictures and stories of my adventures on our latest holiday.

This is a picture I spotted during our holiday and that I just had to share with you. It reminds me of family gatherings with all the McPigs. They even look a bit like us, so maybe these pigs are distant relatives, who knows.

On our holiday we saw lots of beautiful things.
Here I am in Epcot in front of a lovely Japanese building.

Princess and me also visited the Japanese garden.
It was beautiful and tranquil.

I also had quite an adventure during our holiday:

It all started out like fun.
We met the animals from Madagascar and asked them to pose with us. Alex the lion seemed quite interested in me and at first I was quite flattered, until....

He ate me!
Aaaah! Help!

It took a warden to convince him to spit me out again.
Egh, I was all covered in lion saliva and I had a terrible scare!

But then Skipper took charge and promised to hold me and keep me safe from Alex. *swoon* If only he wasn't so tall.

So in the end I survived and we finally got our picture taken together with the Madagascar crew. I'm never going near a lion again!

After this scary incident we visited Hogsmeade!

Hogsmeade luckily didn't have any lions.
It did have this snowman.

And owl post!

I thought about sending an owl to say Hi to my family in the Netherlands, but they looked like they might be interested in eating me as well, so I stayed far away from them to avoid becoming a meal once more.

Princess and me did go on a cool ride though.
Much better than being eaten.

We met a nice trainconductor and had a chat with him.

And he posed with us for a picture without trying to eat me!

That's it for now!
I had a great time, met scary and nice animals and people and saw lots of beautiul and cool things.
