After our rest in the forest and playing around a bit with the pinecone I found, it was time to return the bikes to the rental place, so we went back to the vilage.
There we went to hotel-restaurant Duinzicht (Dune Sight) for another game of worms and for food! And yes, Tarantino was right when he let one of the characters in Pulp Fiction tell something about the dutch: they eat their (french) fries with mayonaise. Yum!
Soon it was time to go back to the harbor to wait for the ferry to take us back to the main land.
Enjoying the last rays of sun.
If it's up to me we'll be going here again soon.
While we were still waiting for the boat I got a visitor! This ladybug seemed to think I was a good place to enjoy the setting sun.
There also was a seagull nearby, but he didn't want to come close enough to get a good picture of him.
Back on the main land we caught a bus back to Groningen.
All in all it was a really fun day, but I must admit I was very tired, so I took a nap the rest of the way home.

Hello Sulivan!
That was a beautiful trilogy about Schiermonnikoog! As you perhaps allready read, we are not going this week... :-( but on a weekend soon. Did you know it brings good luck when a ladybug is landing on you? Thank you for sharing Schiermonnikoog with us!
Bye,
Hammie
mayo on fries is very strange indeed! i will have to try it...
over here, we usually eat our fries with ketchup, lots of salt, and sometimes vinegar... :)
this looks like such a fun trip! thanks for sharing with us sullivan!
How do you pronounce that place? sur-ire-mon-ic-oog? lol...ohhh..I like mayo and ketchup mixed for my fries!
great trilogy sullivan. enjoyed your nice travels. mayo isn't weird on fries considering in high school (and still) peeps ate their fries with ranch dressing, ugh! i think i'd prefer the mayo.
i really like the pic w/the ladybug. so cool your owner was able to capture it.
take care and enjoy your week~
Very nice. I love the photo of you with the pine coat hat. Very debonair.
You can have the fries with mayo. I'll take mine with green chili and cheese. :)
green chili and cheese..... Hmmm, sounds like something I might try.
Um...Sullivan green chili is made with pork...
Hmmm... drat! Better stay far away from the green chili then.
