Schiermonnikoog - Day 4 - part 1
Yes, I was lazy and after that busy, so there's been a break in my posts about my trip.
Here is the next part:
On my birthday it was lovely weather.
After a very yummy breakfast I decided to go for another walk.
It was sunny and there was a clear blue sky.
I wonder if this is what they mean by Blue Monday.
I tried this dead end street.
But was stopped by a no trespassing sign.
I soon found a path I was allowed to take and had a lovely walk.
More soon

Schiermonnikoog - Day 3 - Part 2
I had a great time at the beach.
Even though the weather was really nice it was almost deserted.
We reached the sea!
After a while on the beach we made our way to the restaurant in the dunes and had something to drink. My owner forgot to take a picture though.
Next we took a different route back to the village.
I love this route: forest on one side, dunes on the other.
When we reached the village we walked a little bit further so we could visit the lighthouse again.
Almost back at the hotel.
At the hotel it was time for another hot chocolate with Amaretto
Next we went to our room and relaxed.
I watched the beautiful sunset.
In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel again.
Ice cream!
Coming next: more exploring

Schiermonnikoog - Day 3 - Part 1
On Sunday it looked like it would stay dry so we went for a long walk.
It was sunny, but there were also still clouds, which made for a beautiful sky.
After a walk in the woods we spotted the WWII bunker.
We decided to visit the bunker.
But first we made a detour.
We visited the small cemetery Vredenhof, which has Commonwealth war graves
There are soldiers buried here from both WWI & WWII, as well as some unknown persons who washed up on the shore of the island.
It's a small, peaceful graveyard.
After visiting the Vredenhof we went to the bunker.
On top of the bunker you have a great view.
There's also a metal map of the island on top of the bunker.
It had rained a lot so we didn't go inside the bunker.
It looked as if it might be very wet and dank inside.
Instead we continued our walk.
And after a while we reached the beach.
Coming next: lots of beach pictures
