Birthday Presents Catch Up Post

I wanted to share the cool birthday presents me and my owner got in January.


We got some really cool Funko Pops, like this Cupcake from E.


He also got us Maleficent and the Evil Queen from Snow White.


We got the The Cat in the Head from JS.

We got a plushie Mummy and a Cthulhu/Dr. Zoidberg balaclava from D. and P&J.


We got several books from people like Melliane, S. and K&E. Here are some of the books we got.



And yesterday we got a big package from Miki.
It had lots of yummy candy and chocolate.


And awesome goodies like dice and a Cthulhu key-ring.
She really did her best to find us things we love.

We have been really spoiled by lots of people.
A big thanks to all of them!

Birthday Trip to Schiermonnikoog - Part 2

The next few days it was very rainy and there was even a storm, so we stayed mostly indoors. When we did venture out it was either too rainy or too dark to take pictures.

I did get pictures of the yummy food though!

This is an attempt at getting a picture of the lighthouse in the dark...


On the day we had to leave again it was dry enough to take some pictures on our morning walk.


Goodbye, Shiermonnikoog. I hope you'll be less wet next time we visit.


In the afternoon we took the ferry back to the mainland.


There are the rain clouds again.


I got pie and hot chocolate again!


We played Pickomino to pass the time.

We took a bus back to Groningen and were home at the end of the afternoon. Even with all the rain I had a great time!

Birthday Trip to Schiermonnikoog - Part 1

Last week we went on a trip for the birthday of me and my owner.
We took the bus and then we boarded a boat. We were going to Schiermonnikoog again!


On the boat I got hot chocolate and apple pie!


Yum!


On Schiermonnikoog we took another bus which took us to our favorite hotel!


The weather forcast said it would be a rainy week, but with a nice soft bed like this and all the reading material I brought, I wasn't too worried.


After we rested a bit from our journey, we had dinner.
I got mushroom soup!


And Crème Brûlée for dessert.
I never had Crème Brûlée before and thought it would be hot, but they cooled it down. It was very yummy!

After dinner we went to our hotel room and read for a while, before going to sleep.



The next day was my birthday!
We started the day with breakfast. I had a croissant and sugar bread.


Because it was my birthday I got to decide where we were going on our walk, and I picked the lighthouse. The walk to the lighthouse is through the dunes and very beautiful.


It was grey, but luckily it wasn't raining just yet.

From the lighthouse we walked to the beach. On the beach it was very muddy, so my owner didn't want to take anymore pictures as she was afraid I might take a tumble in the mud.

After our walk we relaxed and read a bit before going into town for some shopping and a snack. It was starting to get rainy, so again we didn't take pictures.


I got a bottle of Licor 43.
That will taste good while I'm relaxing and reading in the evening.


Dinner was very yummy again, and I especially loved the dessert, which had a chocolate butterfly on it!

After dinner we went for an evening walk. It was too dark to take pictures, but the night sky was beautiful and filled with stars. Then it started to rain and even though it lasted for only a few minutes, we got soaked.


So when we got back to the hotel we sat next to the fireplace and got a cup of hot chocolate to get warm again.

We played a game and then we went to our room to read and open that bottle of Licor 43.

I had a great birthday.

Food and Music

We got tickets for a musical performance as a present from my owner's brother, and we invited a friend to come with us. But first she treated us to dinner at our favorite restaurant.

I got strawberry ice cream for dessert!


After dinner we went to the theater where we had something to drink before the performance started.


We had to sit on the floor of the stage as there was only place for nineteen people on the stands. There were two musicians who played and sang about borders and about the number nineteen being special. Even though I had a spot on the floor I enjoyed their performance.

It was a great night out!

Randomness on a Special Day

Nine years ago I started blogging.

The first few years I had lots to share, the last few years my post have become less frequent. Still I very much enjoy showing you my travels and other fun events when they occur.

Even though I didn't do anything picture worthy today I wanted to blog on this special day. So here are a few pictures I took for my Instagram account.

A Small Update

We had a lovely Christmas.
My owner knitted a scarf for Schmooples that matched my hat, and we got a button from Beanie that is the perfect accessory.


We got a bottle of Minion Party Bubbles to ring in the New Year.


It was a great evening and we wish everyone lots of good things for 2018.

Happy New Year
