Books and the May Fair
We got a package yesterday filled with books.
It was from Jeffe, who sent us signed books she got for us at RT, some of her own books, and some extra books she thought we might like. There was also a French version of Under His Touch, which I'm sure Melliane will want to get her hands on.
The signed copy of Strike by Delilah S. Dawson had a small drawing of a dog in it, and Delilah said hi to me! How cool.
Today my owner had to visit the dentist and I came along.
We got toothpaste and mouthwash that my owner can try.
It was lovely weather so we took a walk through town after visiting the dentist, enjoying the sights.
I spotted a pigeon mural!
And when we came to the city center I saw that the May Fair was in town.
We walked around the fair for a bit, looking at all the attractions.
We decided to pay a visit to a friend and managed to get her to go to the fair with us. We played a ball game at the fair, took a ride on the roller coaster, and had lots of fun.
I even got to go on one of the other attractions.
It was a sort of carousel and it turned around really fast. Very cool!
After a fun afternoon we went home again.
Here's the prize I won at the ball game we played.

A Trip to the Zoo - Part 4
Next we saw Macaws.
They were snubbing us.
Another sign warning us of peckish birds.
This is a dangerous zoo!
We visited a bird cage.
This is a Marabou stork, I think.
There were a lot of them.
At least these birds didn't seem to be the peckish kind.
I spotted a lazy hyena.
And we visited the giraffes.
Next we saw the alligators.
This one was really big and close to the glass wall.
We also saw a rhino.
And a Pygmy Hippo.
We saw the gorillas.
As I told you, one of them, Bokito, is (in)famous. He broke out one time and attacked a visitor. So now there are cameras everywhere and lots of signs to warn you that the gorillas are dangerous.
It started to rain, so I didn't take more pictures in the zoo. We saw some more animals, but finally decided to leave.
We visited a bookstore to see if they had books in rotterdam that they don't have in Groningen.
(They did! So I bought some books of course)
Then we traveled to Utrecht where we had dinner at Sumo.
After dinner we took a train home.
It was a really cool day out!

A Trip to the Zoo - Part 3
After visiting the Oceanium we saw these iguanas.
This one had a lookout post in a tree.
More fish.
But these were fresh water fish, I think.
We also saw this really big tortoise.
And a big toad!
Another fishy picture.
An octopus!
I spotted this sign that had the famous gorilla Bokito on it while being hit by a snowball.
It said the polar bears were back.
There they are!
One of them was walking around.
The others were relaxing.
Probably tired from their snowball fight with Bokito.
This is some sort of groundhog, I think.
Next we visited Amazonia.
There were lots of butterflies in Amazonia.
And piranhas!
This sign is warning people that piranhas can bite. Seems like there are lots of bitey and peckish animals at this zoo.
Come back tomorrow for my final post about Blijdorp.
