Another Fair

Yesterday evening we went to a fair together with a friend.
They had an all American CakeWalk! My owner doesn't like CakeWalks, so we didn't go in there, but cheered on our friend who does like CakeWalks.

We did go in this ride: The Thunderdome.

We also rode a small rollercoaster called Super Mouse, and a ride that was called Snow Crash or something with Snow in it anyway, but my owner forgot to take pictures of those. I had a great time!

Did you know there's a saying in the US that goes "that's no cake walk," meaning it won't be easy? Had no idea people were actually *doing* them...

A Cakewalk is a house with moving stairs, slides, and other things that make it difficult to get through the house.

@Beanie: I wanted to. but my owner forgot!
Might try to take a picture today.

Ohhh - how funny. That's a "Fun House" to us. As in Pink's song, "this used to be a fun house, but now it's full of evil clowns."

In the US, a cakewalk is a game like musical chairs (do you know that one?) where you win cakes.

Win cakes? I do not know that game!
I'd have thought that a Fun House was some kind of Mirror Maze. *pictures a mirror maze filled with evil clowns and shudders*

well, yes, the kind of Fun House with evil clowns is the BAD kind.

Cake Walk: cakes are donated and laid out in a circle or winding path. you buy a ticket and walk along the path while the music plays. if you're next to a cake when the music stops, you win! easy game = cake walk. caveat: no evil clowns allowed.
