Homeward Bound

On Tuesday, August 20 it was time to go home.

Goodbye little garden.

Goodbye comfy chair.

Goodbye cottage that doesn't look like a cottage as I picture them.

Jeffe and David gave us a ride to the airport. We were happy we didn't have to lug our suitcases on public transport to get to the airport. We did take some last pictures of Dublin on the way.

At the airport we said goodbye to Jeffe and David. They were going to travel Ireland for a little longer. It was awesome to meet them and hang out with them.

At the airport we had breakfast.
Oatmeal with jam and honey.

Then we settled down with a book and our travel log to wait until it was time to check in.

They changed the gate for our plane a lot so we walked from gate to gate until they finally settled on one.

Almost time to fly.

and then we were off!
Goodbye Dublin!

I wonder why you have to cross your arms when you slide out of a plane...

Above the Netherlands.

And on the ground!

We still had some traveling to do.
We first took a train to Utrecht and had to catch a train to Groningen there.

In Groningen we waited for the train to the station close to our house.

Home!
I had a great time in Dublin, but after such a busy week it was time to take a nap. What an adventure.

You have to fold your arms so you don't rip them off!

And it was lovely to hang with you, too :-)

Rip them off? On what? You can't slide that fast, can you?
