Today me and my owner (and almost all of the Netherlands) are celebrating the birthday of Queen Beatrix.(Her actual birthday is in January I think, but the queen always celebrates her birthday on April 30th.)

@Hammie: Oh, thet totally didn't think of that.
@Katie: You guessed it! (the weather part, not the vampires) But the official reason is that april 30 is the birthday of Queen Beatrix (late) mother Juliana (who's our former queen). When Beatrix was crowned she said that she'd celebrate her birthday on april 30th as well in honor of her mother.
Aww, that's sweet... and you got to meet the queen!
