A trip to Ecodrome - part 1

Today we made a trip to Zwolle to visit the Ecodrome, a kind of museum about animals. First we went to the station and they had a huge Christmas tree there.

When we came in Zwolle we walked to the Ecodrome.
On our way we saw some really cool wall drawings:
This octopus

And this word thingie.

Looks like we made it to the Ecodrome!

First thing I encountered inside the Ecodrome was this barrel full of mice. They were very friendly.

Next I ran into a Mammoth!

I also got to dig for old mammoth bones and found this one.

And I spotted a moose hiding behind a tree! He was very shy, but he did tell me were to find a wild boar.

And here's the wild boar! We had a nice chat about pig things.

Look at those teeth! I wonder if this is a relative of Hammie.

Here's a picture of a very gloomy bird. He was feeling too blue to talk to me.

I also saw a shark, but stayed far away from him.

And what kind of lethal bird is this?!

Look! There it is harrassing other birds. My owner told me it's a Dodo and that it is some kind of non flying pidgeon, but I do not believe her. No pidgeon is that agressive.

A Polar Bear!
This place is dangerous for a small pig like me....

Well, that's it for today. Tune in tomorrow to see if I got away from the Ecodrome in one piece!

More snow and Snow Goons

When I went with my owner to work today we took the bikelane through the park as it's very pretty there with all the snow.

Look what we encountered just next to the bikelane:

Could it be Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons!?

Lots of Snow!!!!!

When I woke up this morning and looked out of the window I saw that my owner had been right yesterday: There was lots of snow!!

Hmmm.... it's beautiful, but also very cold and wet, better keep my feet out of it.

There must have been at least 20 centimeters of snow everywhere! So we had to go for a walk ofcourse.

The bike of my owner's OH was covered in snow.

And so were the other bikes in our street.

The cars were covered too. And it kept on snowing too!

Someone had made this small snowman on top of a car.

More snow covered things.

We walked to the cemetery. It was very pretty there, no one else had been there yet.

This angel seemed to be burdened by the snow.

Hmmm..... I hope the snow will be here for a couple of days more.

After our walk I crawled in one of my owner's mittens to get warm because this afternoon:

We had to go to my owner's work, so another trip through the snow.

Some of the cars were already covered again by snow and they just parked there this morning!

Frost, Snow and Christmas cards

It had been freezing last night and everything was white with frost this morning!

Isn't it beautiful?

At work I paid a visit to the lady of the receptiondesk and she had this lovely Christmas decoration on her desk.

She also had lots of Christmas cards. I must remember to get her one too.

Later today it started snowing!
Too bad my owner and me had to work. and when we were free, most snow had blown away. But it has been snowing the last hour and my owner says it will probably snow more tonight, so hopefully there will be lots of snow tomorrow!

A nice cold day

It was a nice cold day today so my owner and I went into town to finally get some things in the mail. When we got outside the saddle of my owner's bike was covered with ice crystals

When we passed the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) we just had to take a picture as the lighting and shades were very beautiful.

And this sight greeted us when cycling home again!

I love skies like these.

Christmas at Work

Today I noticed that at my owner's work they're getting into the Christmas spirit.
There was a Christmas tree in the lobby....

And also at the catering service!

There were beautiful roses in the tree at the catering service.

I climbed into the tree to get a closer look at the ornaments.

They also had cd's with Christmas songs playing in the break room. This one was my favourite: Santa on a motorbike!!

Garnwerd

Today it was a nice dry day so we made a walk to Garnwerd again. On our way we enjoyed this beautiful sunset.

At Garnwerd we ordered something to eat at cafe-restaurant Hammingh.
I got to eat french fries with mayonaise!

I also had a nice glass of beer.

After eating and drinking I took a well deserved nap.

I woke up just in time for dessert: Chocolates!

They also had a beautiful Christmas tree at Hammingh.

And more beer!!
Look Hammie: the one one the right is hamsterbeer!

Sullivan's adventures through the looking glass..... ;-)
