Gilbert: End of Year Update/Recap - part 2

Time for a recap of December.

My owner had important stuff at the other side of the country. She had to check in somewhere early in the day, so we went a day early and stayed at a hotel.

On top of the world!

Well... Ninth floor anyway.

That evening we went out for dinner and my owner had duck.

I decided to stick with the Pornstar Martini.

The hotel had sugar bread for breakfast. Yum!

The next couple of days my owner was completely busy with her important stuff. I was close-by, but put a new friend, Aidan, in charge of overseeing things.

Luckily the important stuff was done in time to go home well before Christmas.

Family and friends spoiled us with cards, presents, and in one case a giant hamster!

Thanks for all those lovely well wishes, yummy treats, games, crafty stuff, books, and more, everyone! It's all much appreciated.

We managed an outing to the city center Friday the 20th..

And we had lunch at Grand Café Hooghoudt.

In the days leading up to Christmas we watched some Christmassy movies.

The last Playmobil advent present was a Playmobil octopus, which made Octo very happy!

The first day of Christmas we had a relaxing day with yummy food. The second day we were invited to play a game at a friend's house, and he had an army of dwarves.

We played Libertalia, which is a really fun boardgame with pirates!

There was a spider helping me, still we lost. But to be fair: we often lose at games.

Jurassic World LEGO spam.

An example of all the yummy things we ate.

And that's it for now ~Although I know more good things are coming our way, so I might blog again real soon. Take care everyone, and I hope you feel as loved and happy as I do.

Gilbert: End of Year Update/Recap - part 1

Let me start by saying: this was quite the year and I was a bad piggy when it came to posting. Sorry for that, I'll be doing two posts to catch you up on things, and I hope to be better at posting next year.

Here goes:

We had several outings for fun or shopping and yummy food this year.

I walked on the new ringway in Groningen which is meant for cars the day before it opened up for normal traffic again.

We visited Medieval Ter Apel together with friends.

IKEA photo moment.

We made more LEGO animals

In November we had a visit from Diana and did some sightseeing at churches near Groningen.

We went to Spellenspektakel in Utrecht and I got to sleep in a caravan,

right next to Zwijnenlaan (Swine Lane)!

I - most innocent of the McPig's - somehow got jailed at Spellenspektakel.

And discovered a great new game: Cosmoctopus.

When shopping for books for Sullivan, we found 4 second-hand books next to a new one, of which only one was a book for Voodoo Bride.

Sullivan greatly approved.

Early December we visited the garden center for a Christmas tree and there was a Christmas Dinosaur.

And other fun decorations.

Our Christmas tree!

We got a Playmobil Pirate Advent Calendar this year.

It came with a display that we used to put the advent presents and other fun stuff in, like a cabybara night light.
