Apparently two sisters in the US started a National Pig Day on March 1 in 1972. It is to honor the pig as one of the most intelligent domesticated animals. Isn't that cool!?
Happy Belated Pig Day!! We had a happy pig story here in January... "Molly, a three-year-old Vietnamese potbelly pig, came to the SPCA’s Cowichan & District branch as part of a cruelty investigation. She was taken care of and nursed back to health by the staff and was finally adopted by a couple in Duncan on Jan. 19." Isn't that sweet? Except... no... wait... uh-oh... never mind... the, uh, pig, didn't have a happy ending. Apparently the new owners... um... well... let's just say they have a freezer that is well stocked with pork. Huge outrage in the local news...
I'm part of a large family of pigs.
We all live with my owner in Groningen, the Netherlands.
I travel a lot with my owner and I post stories and pictures of my life and travels on my blog. I also have a blog where I post book reviews.
