Major Garnwerd Picture Spam

We walked to Garnwerd again yesterday. Our route seems to be part of the Saksen Route.

We encountered a very friendly cow, she made no suspicious eating moves in my direction.

On a tree we saw these mushrooms. Autumn is here!

On the field next to the tree there was a blue van. I wonder why it was there.

Beautiful picture of one of the lights in cafe-restaurant Hammingh.

The mill in Garnwerd was still working when we passed it. It doesn't actually have a grinding stone anymore so it's just for show I must tell you.

We paid another short visit to the Church in Oostum. There's this sign next to the church door that I love as it uses a bit archaic language. It says: conjugate/join at number 19
What they mean is that you have to go to house nr 19 to get the key of the church if you want to go inside.

A beautiful old stone with beautiful writing. It says 21 and not 2J in case you were wondering.

Me and my owner.

Love the pictures. Good to see a friendly cow this time! G. is saying that she hopes that they'll do the second part of the Pieterpad soon, she's becoming more and more curieus about Garnwerd :-)!

Great pics! I especially like the ones of the mushrooms-very cool! If I saw that van I would've definitely been creeped out! And would've not stayed around long. I like your owner's black jacket-very sweet!!!

Wouldn't worry about cows, they're vegetarians. It's Big Scarey Animals like Lions and Bears you want to worry about!

Thanks everyone!

@Hammie: We love Garnwerd and the walk to it. If you do go on your next walk you should also make a stop at the church of Oostum, it's on your route from Garnwerd to Groningen

@Eve: It was less creepy then it looks on the pic. The van was in a meadow that belonged to a nearby farm and most probably was just put there by the farmer. No creepy people on board of it.

@Beanie: Luckily no bears and lions here except in the zoo.

Ah!! All the Lions and Bears in Holland have been locked up!! Good - that makes it safer for us piggies, hamsters, parrots and mice!!
