I Meet a Friend, and Guts in My Mail

This Thursday I had a wonderful day.
First I went to the book market that was organised as part of the celebrations for Bommen Berend, a local holiday.


My Owner's OtherHalf had a stall at the market together with other illustrators. I took a look at their stall of course.


They had cool buttons.


And beautiful artwork.


After browsing a bit at the book market and the delicatessen market, I went to the Noorderzon festival, where I met up with:


Hammie!
We had lots of fun looking at the different stalls and displays, like this dragon.


Then we sat down to talk, to have a drink, and...


to have dinner!
Yum.


After dinner we walked around town for a bit. We had lots of fun. Here I am at the A-Kerk (A-Church)

Finally Hammie had to go home again and we said goodbye.
It was awesome to meet up with him!



Here's my loot of Thursday.
A book, a bottle of raspberry cider, and some fun do-it-yourself kits that I will try my luck with soon.


Yesterday there was mail waiting for me when I got home:


Eve sent me a beautiful card and some really cool stickers with a spleen and a heart!

I had awesome mail yesterday.

10,000 Zombies

As promised I'm going to tell you about my cool new zombie book.
It's called 10,000 Zombies: Create More Than 10,000 Zombies and 10,000 Stories and is written by Alexander Cox and illustrated by David Hartman.


The cool thing is that it has pages that are divided into 3 parts, so you can mix the pages (and zombies) any way you want.


See: same torso as the zombie in the picture above, but another head and different legs.

So this way you can create lots of different zombies, and the stories on the left page also change when you mix the pages.

I think this is a really cool idea, and I'll be mixing and matching lots of zombies, and read the tales that go with them.

Mail, a Trip and Books

I'm still alive!
I've been busy reading, and helping my owner to run away from zombies with the Zombies, Run app.

I received some cool mail of which I will show you:


The cool crab card Beanie sent me.


And the piggy card Hammie sent.


And I took a trip yesterday:


I traveled to Utrecht to meet up with Aurian and Maia.
When I arrived Maia showed me a beautiful piece of Utrecht.

Next we went to IJsselstein to visit the head office of the people who arrange Boekenfestijn, a regular book fair with lots of cheap books.


They had this cool scales at the entrance.

And they had books of course!
We browsed the books they had on sale and after that we went back to Utrecht and I got to hang out some more with Aurian and Maia. We had lots of fun, but in the evening I had to return home.
