One Year Blogoversary!!!
Today it's one year ago that I made my first blogpost! So time for a small celebration with chocolate and other yummie stuff was in order today.
So one year of blogging!
I really enjoyed myself with blogging and with my adventures this year.
So what are the highlights of this year?
The best thing about this year was meeting so many new friends of both the human and furry kind! Yes, I'm talking about you!!
Special thanks to the amazing friends who send me and my owner great cards and presents and stuff! You all know who you are!
Some other highlights for me were:
Sinterklaas
Halloween
My trip to Schiermonnikoog
Meeting author Midas Dekkers
Well.... there are too many to list them all I can tell you.
For my next year of blogging I hope my owner will be able to take me on a trip to another country, but I'll just have to wait and see.
On to something else!
Lots of other bloggers celebrate their blogoversaries with a giveaway.
Now I do like the idea to give one of my loyal followers a little something, but as I wouldn't want people to start following my blog just because they can get free stuff I'm keeping my blogoversary giveaway small.
I wish I was a rich pig so I could give all of my followers something, but as I'm not and my owner isn't rich enough to pay for so many gifts either, this is what I have to give away to one of you:
It's a keyring with three charms, including a teadrinking McPig!
If you want a chance to win this keyring thingie, leave a comment in which you explain what you love about pigs.(And nobody try to be funny and tell me they love the taste of pork or something simular.)
If you don't know anything to tell me about pigs and their lovable qualities, you can also tell me which highlight you think I left out.
I'll randomly pick a winner next weekend (january 16th or 17th).
Which leaves me with thanking all of you for following my blog, for your kind comments and for your friendship!
I hope I'll be able to share my live and travels with you for a long time to come!

Mail and Zombies
First: Thanks to everyone who wished my owner well. She's feeling a bit better now.
Now on to the pictures:
A large number of envelopes are arriving in the mail adressed to my owner. They can only be opened on our birthday next week, she tells me. I'm not getting my hopes up too much as my name isn't on them, but one never knows...
I did get a present today: A Zombie movie!!It's an early present for my big day tomorrow as tomorrow it will be......
Can you guess? Tune in tomorrow to celebrate a milestone with me...

Cookies and Snow.
On the first day of january we celebrated the new year with tradional food: Nieuwjaarsrolletjes met slagroom en Nieuwjaarskoeken. (New Year's rolls with whipped cream and New Year's cookies.) I especially liked the New Year's cookies as they had sugar syrup mixed into them.
Most of the snow had melted away after Christmas and I thought we wouldn't see snow again this winter, but yesterday when I woke up it was snowing again!
So we had to go for a walk ofcourse!
We encountered this bird and my owner's OH was brave enough to get very close to him. The bird looked really annoyed to be walking in the snow so I kept my distance.
This was more then close enough for me.
We also paid a visit to the cemetery near Wierumerschouw, which was looking very beautiful with all the snow.

Today it's snowing again and I really hope the snow will be there for a couple of days more.
Moira: I hope you're enjoying the snow in Canada too and I can't wait to see your pictures.

Greetings from Canada - a post by Cousin Moira
Hi Sullivan and everybody else! It's been some time since I let you all know how I'm doing here in Canada, so here's a bit of an update.
Here I am helping to make cabbage rolls - got the rice and bacon mixture all ready to go
Stuffing the cabbage leaves with the mixture
Little bundles of yummy I say!!

I helped put the tree up and then got to chat with this pretty angel
Can you see the snow coming down?? It is so much colder here than I am used to, but I do have the benefit of lots of snow!
I had a picnic one day with some friends and Princess

A package arrived in the mail - it said it was for my owner but she let me open it.
It turned out to be from Sullivan's owner.
Look at all the goodies!
Some dutch inspired items - how neat!
Yummmmm - some sprinkles for my toast!!
I have missed these as here in Canada its not the tradition to use the sprinkles that way and so therefore I usually only use PB, Jam or Cheez Whiz on my toast - honey sometimes too.
