A trip to Rome - I get to fly on a plane

Last Tuesday we went on vacation!

First we took a long trainride and then we were at Schiphol, a large airport near Amsterdam. There were all kinds of planes there.

My owner told me we were going to fly to Rome in Italy. She pointed out our plane off in the distance. It was a white and green one.

We had to go through a checkpoint to make sure we didn't take anything illegal on the plane. I and my owner's OtherHalf made it through the checkpoint without trouble, but my owner got frisked because the metaldetector went off when she stepped through it. Luckily it turned out to be the metal on her pants, so she was allowed to go on board of the plane after all.

I'm on a plane!
How exciting.

I had a windowseat so I could watch while they were loading the cargo.

And then I got to fly!

I really enjoyed the flight. it was really cool to look out the window and see the clouds and such.

The plane took about two hours to fly to Rome. I read a bit and we got something to drink and a yummy snack to go with it.

When we landed we got to take a bus from the plane to the terminal. Here you can see the plane. I flew in that plane. So cool!

At the terminal we were met by a bus driver who drove us to our hotel.

Oh, that bed looks nice and comfy.

I still can't believe I'm in Rome.

After all the travelling it was now time for a short rest, but I can tell you I was aching to go explore Rome.

Stay tuned for lots more posts about my trip to Rome!
