Another fun Bbq

My owner and her OH decided to have another waterside bbq yesterday evening and me, Voodoo Bride and Coco came along.

I helped out with preparing the mushrooms and onions.

Some of the tasty things we brought to eat.

Me and Coco playing around on and in the picknick basket.

When the sun was almost gone we made a fire to keep warm.

The sky looked beautiful and we lay on our picknick blanket for a long time admiring it.

I'm back!

It's been a boring and tiring work week so I didn't blog much this week, but now it's weekend!!!

When we got home from work today there was a lovely postcard in the mail for us.

It's lovely weather so Voodoo Bride and I caught a little sun on our balcony among the many plants we got there.

Chocolate

After our fun and busy weekend it's been a boring work week sofar.
Today we did go shopping for a small birthdaypresent for someone and bought this piece of chocolate. I wonder if my owner will notice when there's a little piece of it missing as I think it looks quite tasty.

Loads of Pictures

Today we went for a walk to Garnwerd again as it was really beautiful weather.

On our way to Garnwerd we passed a meadow with lots of ponies in it. They were very curious, but also a bit shy.

On our way back home we passed the church in Oostum and we couldn't pass it by without taking some pictures of the church and graveyard.

I love the light in this picture.

I even persuaded Voodoo Bride to pose for a picture.
(I must confess the words 'Sad Boy will be reading the blog too' did the trick.)

Playing around in tree.

I will leave it up to you to guess what was behind this door.

One last look at the church before continuing our walk.

A really cool and weird tree.

Bbq

It was a work saturday again and I noticed this on one of the noticeboards. Someone obviously has a different view on working on a saturday. Luckily there was some real fun in store for me:

After work my owner's OH came to pick us up for a Barbeque on the waterside! He brought our picknick basket, a small barbeque and lots of yummy food!

Preparing the barbeque.

Relaxing on the picknick blanket with a nice glass of home made wine.

We also made a small fire to roast potatoes.

A view of the lovely countryside where we had our Bbq.

Reclining pig after lots of good food (and wine)!

The view when looking up from my comfy blanket.

Jeepers Creepers

Jeepers Creepers: great song, even greater movie!
I got this movie from my owner this week and just had to show you. If you haven't seen it yet, I can advice you to watch it and also watch 'Jeepers Creepers 2', which is even better I think as it has Ray Wise in it!

Walking and Flowers

We took another walk today along the waters edge.
The weather was nice but a bit windy and there were lots of people on the road and on the water.

We even had to wait as the bridge was raised to let a boat through.

And I just had to show you this: A dandelion!
Isn't it pretty this way?

Sigmund

We went into town to grab something to eat with a good friend this evening. We passed the Dutch Comics/Graphic Novels Museum where this poster was hanging in the window advertising an expo about the comic Sigmund. Sigmund is one of my favourite comics, so maybe I'll go visit this expo.

A Walk and Balloons

Yesterday evening we went for a walk in one of the nearby parks. We came across this really beautiful and mysterious lane.

Taking a short rest to admire the pond.

Today there were lots of balloons on our way to work once again! This time they were red and they said to vote for some kind of student organisation.

Random Stuff

Eve posted a very cool Indonesian Windchime thingie on her blog, so I thought it would be cool to show you the Indonesian wood carving that we got. It's a creepy face that's supposed to scare off evil spirits I've been told. Seems to be doing it's job as there are no evil spirits here.

This jolly fellow is on the same wall as the Indonesian scary face.

Eve also posted a picture of her many buttons, so we took a picture of my owner's noticeboard as she has many buttons on there. Can you also spot the three really small McPigs? (And: No, I do not count as a really small McPig!)

Fun at work

We had to work again today.
In our break I played around in this huge fake mobile phone.

That Sheep Again

When my owner and me got back from our short break from work there was a new banner of my collegue Frank the Sheep. Most people don't seem to like him, but I think he's ok.
Otherwise nothing much happened while we were away.

News from Canada: Lots of Animals

I got another email from Moira to tell us all how she's doing.
I posted her story and pictures below:

Hi Sullivan and everyone! I'm having lots of fun here in Canada with Marie and Princess.
We went to a Petting Zoo with Princess' playschool class and they had lots of animals there, even some very exotic ones. Can you tell what kind of animal this is?

They also had lions! Don't you think they look cool?

I read that you had an encounter with some geese. well, I saw some geese too and I've been told they can be viscious, so you got a lucky escape.

The ducks were very friendly and curious, but still I was glad there was a fence between me and the ducks. You never know.

Turtles, or are they turtoises? I have to ask Marie as I keep confusing them. I think turtles are the landbased ones. It's easier in dutch as they're all called 'Schildpad' (meaning: shield or shell toad) no matter if they're on land or water.

And saving the best picture for last:
I had a nice relaxing nap together with a distant cousin.

Take care!
Moira
